Guest speakers included Rick Arkell, Rick Arkell Next Step Foundation Scholarship donor along with student speakers, Nicole Page, Multicraft Trades Scholarship recipient and Maria Bueno, Lower Columbia Retired Educators BAS Education Scholarship recipient.
Special Performance by the LCC Choir, "A Million Dreams" directed by Gina Challed.

The 2019 Horns and Halos Gala was held in the Rose Center for the Arts on September 28, 2019. This year’s Gala hosted by the LCC Foundation Board of Directors was a celebration of LCC's 85th Anniversary.
The 2018-19 Benefactor of the Year award was presented to Delores Rodman. Lori Smith Schell received the award on behalf of her mother who could not attend the event. LCC President Chris Bailey presented Richard Peters with the 2019 Alumnus of the Year award.
This year's student speaker was Jade Jennings, who is enrolled in the first cohort of LCC's new BAS-TE Program.
Special musical performance of A Million Dreams by Shekinah Dunlap.
All proceeds from the event, benefit the Lower Columbia College Foundation 'College Success Fund.'

Members of the Class of 2018 wore college T-shirts, sweatshirts and other gear today in celebration of their college choices following acceptances from some of the best colleges and universities across the U.S. and around the world. The seniors, who took pictures of one another, as well as assembled for a class photo, also enjoyed cupcakes courtesy of the Alumni and College Counseling offices. Congratulations, and best of luck to all our soon-to-be-grads as they complete their last week of classes! #WApreparedforlife #WAdifference

The 83rd Annual Lower Columbia College Commencement Ceremony was held at Kelso High School Schroeder Field in Kelso, Washington, USA on Friday, June 21, 2019.
Commencement Ceremony Speaker: Tonya M. Drake, Ph.D., Chancellor, Western Governors University (WGU) Washington.
Credentials awarded: 535 Associate Degrees (including 131 Running Start students who earned a high school diploma and associate degree concurrently); 29 Certificates; 92 High School Diplomas; plus GED Certificates.
Over a hundred faculty and staff, in addition to college administration, were in attendance. Approximately 2,000 guests attended the ceremony.

Heidi Heywood received special recognition for serving on the LCC Board of Trustees from 2008-2018. President Bailey along with Bob Gregory, Max Anderson and Alice Dietz presented Heidi with a plaque as a token of their appreciation.
