With a slight alteration to the lyrics to reflect the location of the picture and the fact Lionel Richie is playing a concert in Scarborough in the summer!
Today didn’t quite go according to plan, we had intended to use an ‘East Yorkshire Round Robin’ ticket to make several trips back and forth to Scarborough. Unfortunately upon leaving York the adjacent line had a fallen tree on it and consequently both lines closed after we passed! It took five hours before the next train ran! We made the most of the day though with a lovely walk on the beach to watch the waves crashing. Good old Storm Ciara!
The return journey went smoother, though we were cautioned to 15 mph on the outskirts of York due to fears of further trees on the line.
I liked this little scene back at the station with the couple making their way having seen people off on the train. Life doesn’t always follow the path we might hope for but I think it’s fair to say it’s the journey that counts.

After reviewed my photos from three days ago of the falls, I saw a photo in one of my photos. Following the rules of our 365 I had to go back and take the shot so I would be for day 115. On a separate note, for the second time, I've realized that's it's impossible to replicate nature shots as light changes, objects move, and weather is different, etc.

Another lavender bag (you have to protect your cashmere and silks from moths!) this time with Lawn Fawn Stuck on You dies, plants were freehand.
There will be a few bits of sewing in the next few days as I finish the hand stitching and get them photographed, thanks for looking.

The other morning, after shooting the stump and the leaf, I came across a patch of “stickers”. Push through? I don’t think so!! Go around . . . and maybe miss something? Instead, I put the 50mm on the cam . . . found a branch that stood out from the rest . . . lined up the background I wanted . . . and took one shot.

A fool such as I took a while to realise you've been overdosed with 61 Elvis Festival photos for the last 10 days. So I'm signing off here. Please don't blame me if the image of Elvis is now stuck on you. What'd I say, the King rocks on. For those diehard female fans, I know you can't help falling in love with him. But that's alright mama, if I can overcome my heat stroke phobia, I shall return next year with another OD of Elvis.
What a load of bull! Hope you're all shook up. LOL!

Garfield (Stuck On You!) hanging on to my Ampera R2 Mini Street Lamp. Had to take photo when LED's were in dim mode before lamp goes to full power. The Telensa T2E1N-G-3 (5 pin photo cell) does the dimming, with a (3 pin photo cell) lamp is just off or on.

Eu estava toda feliz e saltitante achando que a Essence tinha feito este esmalte para o Rei do Rock, até que descobri que tem uma música do Paramore E do Lionel Richie com o mesmo título... Nunca vou saber de onde veio esta inspiração para a Essence, mas para mim, não há dúvida nenhuma: Stuck On You é do Elvis <3 <3 <3

Sim, minhas queridas, Elvis Presley no programa de TV apresentado por nada mais, nada menos, que Frank Sinatra <3 <3 <3. No caso foi um especial feito para a volta dele do exército.
Aliás, tenho que sair um pouco do tema esmaltes para dizer que atualmente estou lendo a biografia do Elvis e estou amando! É a primeira biografia que leio, pois não sou fã do gênero, mas o tema me chamou a atenção: "Elvis Presley e a Evolução do Rock". Gostei da forma como o autor escreve mas, mais do que isso, a forma como ele contextualiza a biografia em si com todo os momentos que o rock surgiu e passou, paralelamente aos momentos do Elvis! Quem gosta do gênero, do estilo musical ou do artista, fica minha dica de leitura :)
Além de tuuuuudo isso, ser fã do Elvis, amar rock e tudo o mais, danço rockabilly e a Stuck On You é perfeita para dançar! <3 <3 <3 Ou seja, tanto agora, quanto quando esmaltei eu só pensava em ouvir essa música e dançar, dançar e dançar...
Sei lá, sou daquelas que acha que tudo no passado era melhor e, posso até estar errada, mas para mim a música, a forma de ouví-la, a ingenuidade e descobertas, como tudo isso era encarado no passado, era muito mais gostoso do que hoje em dia... Se eu pudesse voltar no tempo, certamente voltaria para 1950 <3
Bom, mas voltando o foco, sobre o esmalte: tão perfeito quanto a música. Esmaltação tranquila, 2 camadinhas, secagem ótima e cor e acabamento que não são tão comuns de vermos por aí. Não lembro se passei base mas, assim como o esmalte anterior, foram 2 camadas sem TC.
