If you are on a Glacier and get a chance to climb to the top just do it! It’s always worth it since you can get as high as possible and enjoy the best view ever. I shot this Panorama on top of the Möllertalgletscher in Kärnten (Austria) at 3122 m (10.242 ft) and even could create a 360° panorama since it was the highest point all over! The post processing was done with Photoshop CC + Lightroom and the pictures (I think I used 9 shot) where taken with my Sony (back up camera).

I'm in the process of preparing my next trip to Austria (stubaital glacier). For that picture we where very lucky to see this cloud formation over the mountains that where approaching us. I shot at about 3200m (10 498 feet). The post processing was done with Photoshop and Lightroom CC. The picture was taken with my Sony cam.

This is the next aerial photography from the stubaital glacier in Austria. This view is so Awesome! The Ice looks so blue. Actually they cover the glacier ice with canvas to protect it from the sun to reduce the melting. I the summer this is a big problem since a lot of the snow is gone. I shot this one with my back up camera (a Sony).

I just love it to stitch the pictures together and crop them since you got so much in the frame for your composition. This is the Technical University of Berlin and I shot this on the highest point around. The sunset created all this nice colors in the sky - thoughts worth releasing it! The post processing of the picture was done with Photoshop. The picture was taken on my Sony.

During my trip to Austria we spend some time on the Mölltal Gletscher in Kärnten and waited till the moon came out. I did some cross processing and added some very strange gradient filters after I converted this landscape shot in the Black and White since this way the sky and clouds look way more awesome! The post processing was done with Photoshop CC + Lightroom 5 and the pictures where taken with my Sony.

I kind of getting in this 180° Panorama stuff and realy like it! The shouting and the post processing so much fun! I shot this while working very long and notice the moonrise at the Technical University of Berlin. I shot this on the highest point around and I live all the nice colors in the sky - thoughts this is worth releasing! The post processing of the picture was done with Photoshop. The picture was taken on my Sony. BTW I start using my back up camera more and more since my Canon 40D is quite heavy :-)

I did processed some more landscape shot that I took in the alps in Austria back in 2005. Even if I shot this 10 years ago (with a very low res. digital camera compared to today) I just need to work on it and retouched the picture with Lightroom + Photoshop and really liked the result. It’s some kind of cool to use new SW tools with old pictures…. it gives you a new feeling for a scene.

I love aerial photography but unfortunately I not have a drone (so fare)… But there are other ways to get around even without a Quadcopter :-) So this is at the Stubaital glacier in Austria. This view is so Awesome! The Ice looks so blue. Actually they cover the glacier ice with canvas to protect it from the sun to reduce the melting. I the summer this is a big problem since a lot of the snow is gone. I shot this one with my back up camera (a Sony) and notice that I start using my backup cam more and more….. Maybe it’s time for a change. Oh and BTW this (insider info) is finally Release 100 of my OneDayOnePicture series that I stared exactly 1 year ago with my first ever processed HDR picture - what a awesome year full of photography! I found some more time to process shots form my trip to Austria on the Mölltal Gletscher in Kärnten since I’m going next week again to the Alps. This Helicopter landed in front of us and I still had my snow goggles, actually all the time I get this stage yellow look all the time on the Glacier so I processed some shots with this yellow layer on top to get this feeling back. The post processing was done with Photoshop CC + Lightroom 5 and the pictures where taken with my Sony.

Towards the alps on the way to the Mediterranean Sea. I shot this back in 2005 (with very low res. digital camera compared to today) on a trip to Monaco. I just retouched the picture with Photoshop and really liked the result. Sometimes it's not about the resolution or the clarity of the shot…. it’s about the moment and the feeling! I processed this in black and white as I needed to get rid some noise. The post processing was done with Photoshop CC.
