Sacred Heart Church is a absolutely beautiful structure located near the Strand district on Broadway. The church's original building was opened in 1892, and was destroyed in the 1900 Galveston Hurricane that ravaged the city and killed thousands of people. The current building was completed in 1904, and partially rebuilt again after another hurricane in 1915. The church stands out among the many other Victorian style structures nearby, with it's lovely white color, and it's Moorish & Byzantine influences in design. Palm trees surround the perimeter of it, enhancing the wonderful architecture of the structure.

This is said to be just a slipway but has a lot of similarities to a boom defence building.

Immediately S of a slipway 30m W of the gate lodge for Knock Castle (NS16SE 6) is a brick and concrete building with a flat roof. The building measures approximately 4m by 8m and is about 3.3m in height. It has four ventilators on the long side and two on the ends. The purpose to which this building was put is not known but it is almost certainly of military construction. At the N end a new rolling door has been fitted and its present use is possibly a garage.

During the pandemic people have been gathering wood found in the woods to create structures. There was a child and parent inside as I passed.

A series of double beds with the headboard structure in multi-layer poplar wood and expanded polyurethane, covered with fibre. The headboard insets are in solid, polished pau ferro. The bed frames for slatted bases ranging from 170, 180, 200 cm widths, are in ultralight fibre covered planked wood. The feet are in polished pau ferro and metal. The fabric or leather covering fixed for the headboard and removable for the bed frame. The additional fibre quilt is available with fabric or leather covering.

Every time that someone collects a course guide from the inside of the structure it leaves free a balloon with Frederick’s University logo on it.
