Trying to follow the tenets of the New Topographics in photographing structure and form rather than subject matter.
My handy dandy little aluminum step ladder would have proven a benefit in elevating me about 3 feet and separating those middle ground elements.

Another photo from the beautiful granite coast in the south of Western Australia. This is the Natural Bridge in Torndirrup National Park. I am forever fascinated by the intricate structure and textures of this amazing coastline.

The Sacra of San Michele is a fascinating abbey located on Mount Pirchiriano in front of the city of Turin. It was founded between 983 and 987. It became an important Benedectine monasticism in the Middle Age. There are several legends connected to this beautiful and unique place. It is believed that Umberto Eco was inspired by this building for his famous novel "The name of the rose".
Although it is not in the city of Turin, the abbey is considered in the metropolitan area of the city. So I took the liberty to add it to the project

These sorts of driftwood/branch structures always make me uneasy when I find them out wandering. I don't know why, perhaps it is because I think the maker is observing me. Focus is a bit softer than I would like, but overall, I think a good composition and the tones work for me.
Shot on 35mm Tmax in my DIY-converted 35N film back. Developed for 5 minutes at 65F in Tmax developer.
In the heart of the city, where visual noise fills every corner, a different kind of silence can be found. A structured silence.

The Holy Rosary Church is a Roman Catholic church in Bangkok. It is located in Samphanthawong District, on the eastern bank of the Chao Phraya River. The history of the church dates to 1769, when a group of Portuguese Catholics resettled in the area after the fall of Ayutthaya; the current church building, in Gothic Revival style, was built in 1891–97 on the site of two previous structures. I saw my structure then waited and waited—- then comes the man in the salmon shirt.
What are the odds of a man in a salmon shirt? Hey, this photography stuff is fun,, 😀
Like Taj Mahal, Statue of Liberty is one of most beautiful man made structure which is amazingly beautiful to look at from any side and any angle. A photographer is enthusiastic even after a hundred shot.
Picture of Statue from different side and different is also posted. Please view them too. Thanks
