I'm not too sure what this was. There was no way to get up it so it's not a tower and it's not connected to a house or anything at all actually. It's just a random structure in a fenced off piece of land.
I loved working with this girl. The bone structure of her face worked so well with the light techniques we were learning.
Flickr friends.....pray for Kristen.....she had appt. this morning. Seems we have an eminent birth!!!!!
As soon as Lyric is born you are sure to be bombarded with newborn photo's!!!!! Indulge this doting grandma (Clue)!

Recently I went out to shoot a photo that represents "inspiration". This photo captures lots of it for me. Texture, pattern, type, urban, color, nature, structure and so on. I pull from all these things for my photography and design work. I am involved in a weekly theme, so more to come.

Chalcopyrite-pyrrhotite-magnetite from the Precambrian of Ontario, Canada. (~3.5 centimeters across along the base)
Dull brassy & brownish-brassy area at center to lower right = pyrrhotite
Tarnished brassy gold along the perimeter = chalcopyrite
This massive sulfide sample is from Ontario's Sudbury Mining District, which is famous for its economically-significant nickel- and copper-bearing minerals. The Sudbury area is actually a tectonically deformed, very large impact structure - it is the # 3 largest preserved impact structure on Earth (the # 1 largest is Vredefort in South Africa; the # 2 largest is Chicxulub in Yucatan, Mexico). The Sudbury Impact occurred about 1.85 billion years ago, during the late Paleoproterozoic. The Sudbury Impact Structure is no longer circular or subcircular in shape - it's been compessed into a stretched-egg shape from an ancient continental collision event.
The dominant mineral in this specimen is chalcopyrite - CuFeS2 (copper iron sulfide). Also present are pyrrhotite - Fe(1-x)S (imperfect iron monosulfide) and magnetite - Fe3O4 (iron oxide), both of which will stick to a magnet.
Mineralization age: syn-impact or early post-impact, late Paleoproterozoic, 1.85 Ga
Locality: Creighton Mine, Sudbury Mining District, southeastern Ontario, southeastern Canada
