Window frames buckle under the pressure of the building's weight. It's amazing they didn't just snap.

I use the term "new" loosely. As a structural engineer I am suprised by the number of piers on the "new" bridge that have obviously been repaired because of reinforcing corrosion. It's unfortionate that the federal, state and county DOT's are not provided nearly enough funding to maintain the country's bridges. Not shown in this photo is one of the main girders that has spalled a large area of concrete where the prestressing strands have corroded. Just another fine example of our crumbling infrastructure...

Pre-galvanized tubes or pipes are used in a variety of settings; like for water-supply pipes or structural steel in construction and for other outdoor applications such as fence posts, scaffolding and protective railings.
