There's a place where I go that no one else knows,
Where mysteries abound and excitement grows.
A place out of reach of any man's hands,
Safely secluded in a far away land
Beyond the grasp of those who may plunder
The wealth of its power and its life changing wonder...........

When they say love
they mean worship
When they say freedom
they mean addiction
When they say to help
they mean inslaving
When they say we
they mean us and you to serve them

There have been several eagle sightings in my neighborhood, but I was not lucky enough to see one until yesterday am. I came out of my driveway to a nearby crossroad and this one was straight ahead of me in a pecan tree. Of course, no camera in the car, but he was kind enough to wait on me to pull off this still shot and then he flew. Luckily, I had installed my telephoto and new extender the day before!!
This tri-colored heron struck a particularly 'sad' expression. Maybe it's really a blue heron on a blue day.
From the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission:
The tricolored heron is a midsized member of the genus Egretta. This species can reach a length between 24-26 inches (61-66 centimeters) with a wingspan of approximately 36 inches (91 centimeters). The tricolored heron is named for its distinct coloration. It has a dark slate-blue colored head and upper body, a purple chest, and white underparts. This species also has a long, slender neck and bill, and is the only dark heron with light underparts.

I was struck by the shape of these vibrant clouds which were reflecting the colours of the setting sun.

Though the bark is healed, the exposed heartwood will allow fungi to invade and will probably lead to the tree's eventual death. Meanwhile, carry on...
Insomnia struck again, so at 3:30 a.m., I decided to check the weather instead of counting sheep. A clear sunrise? Challenge accepted. I headed to Jonsrud Viewpoint near Sandy, OR, arriving at 5:30 in a brisk 29 degrees. Two hours of freezing later, my finger almost gave up on pushing the shutter button—turns out frostbite is a great motivator to pack up. But wow, those frosty trees and vibrant colors made it all worth it… even if I had to thaw out like a popsicle afterward!

Some people got the real problems
Some people out of luck
Some people think I can solve them
Lord heavens above

This beautiful female
Red Headed Barbet had just flown in to a nearby branch when this image was captured. Taken on our recent trip to Costa Rica and actually a first for me. I had seen the male in the past but not her and was struck by her incredible beauty. We certainly live in a world full of beauty at every corner and felt so blessed to have seen her.
Wishing you all a very blessed Wednesday !!!!!!!!
It just struck me that I have photographed this door a couple of times, been by it hundreds of times, seen the changes around the face of the door, but never ever peek beyond the door. I think I am Inspired to do so next time I am there.
I struck out ! There is absolutely nothing going on at the moment in areas you can get into . The rest are under water and muddy . Saw a few Robins, they are back ! Off in the distance crows calling and a hawk riding the air currents, that was all the action . Lots and lots of dried up dead stuff to shoot
