Titan triggerfish couple envolved in a mating dance
WARNING! Should you witness this scene I strongly recommend you don't swim closer!
In particular Picasso triggerfish and Titan triggerfish (in the picture) viciously defend their circular nests against any intruders, including scuba divers and snorkelers. Due to its large size and powerful teeth the Titan triggerfish poses a serious threat to inattentative divers (and snorkelers as well).
Especially during reproduction season it is very territorial and will guard its nest, which it lays in a flat sandy area, vigorously defending it against any intruders. Due to its size and strong teeth it can inflict serious injury. Bites may also be ciguatoxic. When the males (most colourful) start swimming in your direction, the best thing to do is swim away backwards kicking your flippers as a defence.
In other words, don't follow my example.
this is not a commercial for chewing gum but there was a contest and they found this picture offending (?!) and it was not published.. so i decided to publish it (sorry bad english:)

A circus act before they anounced the winners.
The open bar was closed while this happened so i just released the shutterbug in me waiting for drinks.
On my little trek up the road, I came across five darling miniature donkies, a miniature white pony, and a beautiful horse. This little guy really wanted my attention, so I gave it to him.
Really cute: View On Black
P.S. I checked the metal flag... it actually had smooth edges and evidence that it has been chewed on in the past. He just wanted to impress me with how creative he is, it worked. Or, he may have a need for more iron in his diet... (I'm taking the prints up to the folks who live on the property and ask about it)

How I got to know this song: Well I own this one to late night videos on MTV, sometimes you get good stuff there, I do remember watching the video featuring a singing carrot and I was just captivated, next day went to my favourite music store (the one where I can order music by a catalogue) and luckily I found it there. Electro – Shock Blues is an amazing album and it has a very touching story behind it.
I had the probably silliest accident two months ago, resulting in losing a tooth and having my other front four in observation. The first thing I remember when I stood up (because apparently I fainted) was thinking “fuck I ruined my smile”, I arrived to the hospital and when they were trying to put my teeth back on their place I lost one. From that day one I have been at the dentists more than twice a week and I cannot bite anything. The funny thing is that although I remained toothless for 42 days I couldn’t stop smiling.
It could have been worse I know, and I’m glad it wasn’t but the hardest thing was to face routine back again, it takes a while to get used to it, you change but things remains the same, you know.
“What if I was not your only friend in this world
Can you take me where you're going if you're never coming back”
My friend just started to write about the soundtrack to her life in her blog.
This really should have been my PAD for yesterday but with rushing around after work and then going out I completely forgot that my visit to the dentist had even happened.
Myself and the dentist have always had a distant relationship, in short they scare me silly. Yesterday I went for my 6 month check up and apart from fixing a broken tooth that I knew was there she gave them a clean bill of health.

Crooked Tooth: Causes, Concerns & Solutions
A crooked tooth is more than just a cosmetic issue – it can also affect your oral health and confidence. Many people experience misaligned or uneven teeth due to genetics, early loss of baby teeth, thumb sucking, or lack of space in the jaw. While some see it as a minor problem, crooked teeth can actually make cleaning difficult, leading to plaque buildup, cavities, and gum disease.
Crooked teeth may also cause bite problems, jaw discomfort, or even difficulty in speaking and chewing. Beyond health, they can also make you feel self-conscious about your smile. But the good news is – modern dentistry offers effective solutions! 😍
At Dr. Gogia’s Super Specialty Dental Care Centre, we provide advanced treatments like braces, clear aligners, and cosmetic dentistry to correct crooked teeth. Braces gradually shift teeth into proper alignment, while clear aligners (invisible trays) offer a comfortable and discreet option for those who prefer a modern approach. In some cases, veneers or crowns can also be used to improve appearance and function.
Fixing a crooked tooth not only enhances your smile but also improves your oral hygiene and confidence. With proper alignment, brushing and flossing become easier, reducing the risk of cavities and gum disease.
If you are struggling with crooked teeth, don’t ignore the problem. Visit us to explore the best treatment options tailored for you. A straight smile isn’t just beautiful – it’s healthy too!

Dental Care Tips for a Lifetime of Healthy Smiles
Introduction
Good oral health is not just about having white teeth—it’s about protecting your gums, preventing cavities, and ensuring overall well-being. Following the right dental care tips daily can help you maintain a bright, healthy smile and avoid costly treatments later. At Dr. Gogia’s Super Specialty Dental Care Centre, led by Dr. Pradeep Gogia (MDS Endodontics, RCT and Smile Makeover Specialist) and Dr. Shilpa Gogia (Dental Surgeon), we believe prevention is better than cure, and dental care starts with small habits that create big results.
In this blog, we’ll share practical dental care tips that anyone can follow to maintain excellent oral hygiene and long-lasting dental health.
Why Dental Care Matters
Your mouth is the gateway to your body. Poor oral hygiene can lead not only to tooth decay and gum disease but also to problems like bad breath, tooth loss, and even heart-related conditions. Following dental care tips daily protects your overall health.
Essential Dental Care Tips
1. Brush Twice a Day
Brushing at least twice daily with fluoride toothpaste removes plaque and bacteria. Use a soft-bristled toothbrush and gentle circular motions to clean all surfaces.
2. Floss Regularly
Flossing once a day helps remove food particles and plaque between teeth where brushing cannot reach.
3. Don’t Forget Your Tongue
Bacteria can build up on the tongue, leading to bad breath. Gently brushing or using a tongue scraper keeps your mouth fresh.
4. Use Mouthwash
Mouthwash reduces acid, cleans hard-to-brush areas, and helps strengthen enamel. Choose one recommended by your dentist.
5. Eat a Balanced Diet
Limit sugary foods and drinks, as they feed harmful bacteria. Add calcium-rich foods like milk, cheese, and leafy greens to strengthen teeth.
6. Stay Hydrated
Water helps wash away food particles and neutralizes acids in the mouth.
7. Avoid Tobacco
Smoking and chewing tobacco cause gum disease, bad breath, and oral cancer.
8. Protect Your Teeth
If you play sports, wear a mouthguard. Avoid chewing ice, pens, or hard candies to prevent chips and cracks.
9. Visit Your Dentist Regularly
Regular dental checkups every 6 months at Dr. Gogia’s Super Specialty Dental Care Centre ensure early detection of issues like cavities and gum problems.
10. Professional Cleaning
Even with good home care, plaque and tartar can build up. Professional dental cleanings keep your teeth healthy and gums strong.
Dental Care Tips for Children
Start cleaning baby teeth as soon as they appear.
Use fluoride toothpaste in small amounts.
Encourage healthy eating and limit sugary snacks.
Regular pediatric dental visits ensure lifelong habits.
Dental Care Tips for Seniors
Watch for signs of dry mouth caused by medications.
Ensure proper denture hygiene.
Continue regular checkups to prevent gum disease and oral cancer.

Dental Veneers: Transforming Smiles with Confidence
Introduction
A beautiful smile is one of the first things people notice about you. However, chipped, discolored, or uneven teeth can affect your confidence and overall appearance. This is where dental veneers come in—thin, custom-made shells designed to cover the front surface of your teeth, giving you a natural, flawless smile. At Dr. Gogia’s Super Specialty Dental Care Centre, our team, led by Dr. Pradeep Gogia (MDS, Endodontics, RCT and Smile Makeover Specialist) and Dr. Shilpa Gogia (Dental Surgeon), specializes in smile transformations using advanced veneer technology.
Dental veneers are a popular choice in cosmetic dentistry because they offer a durable, aesthetic, and long-lasting solution for many dental imperfections. Whether you have gaps, discoloration, or minor misalignments, veneers can give you the smile makeover you’ve always dreamed of.
What Are Dental Veneers?
Dental veneers are wafer-thin shells, typically made of porcelain or composite resin, that are bonded to the front of teeth. They are custom-designed to match the color, shape, and size of your natural teeth, ensuring a seamless look.
Two main types of veneers include:
Porcelain Veneers – Highly durable, stain-resistant, and closest to natural tooth appearance.
Composite Resin Veneers – More affordable, require less tooth preparation, but may not last as long as porcelain.
Benefits of Dental Veneers
Improved Appearance – Corrects discoloration, chips, cracks, and gaps.
Durability – Porcelain veneers can last 10–15 years with proper care.
Stain Resistance – Porcelain is resistant to coffee, tea, and smoking stains.
Minimally Invasive – Requires less tooth removal compared to crowns.
Natural-Looking Results – Customized to blend with your natural teeth.
Who Should Consider Dental Veneers?
Dental veneers are suitable for individuals with:
Discolored teeth not responding to whitening treatments
Worn-down, chipped, or broken teeth
Gaps between teeth
Slightly misaligned or uneven teeth
At Dr. Gogia’s Super Specialty Dental Care Centre, we carefully assess whether veneers are the right solution for you during your consultation.
The Procedure of Getting Veneers
The process usually involves three main steps:
Consultation and Planning – Discuss your smile goals, take X-rays, and create impressions.
Preparation – A thin layer of enamel is removed to make space for veneers. Temporary veneers may be placed.
Bonding – Custom veneers are permanently bonded to your teeth using dental cement and cured with a special light.
Aftercare for Dental Veneers
To maximize the lifespan of your veneers:
Brush and floss daily with a soft-bristled toothbrush.
Avoid biting on hard objects (like pens or ice).
Limit foods and drinks that cause stains.
Schedule regular dental check-ups at Dr. Gogia’s Super Specialty Dental Care Centre.

Tooth Filling Procedure: Restore Your Tooth, Protect Your Smile
Introduction
A toothache or sensitivity often signals that your tooth may have decay or cavities. If left untreated, the decay can spread, leading to severe pain or even root canal treatment. The most effective solution to stop decay early is a tooth filling procedure.
At Dr. Gogia's Super Specialty Dental Care Centre, we use advanced techniques and high-quality filling materials to restore damaged teeth, protect your oral health, and bring back your natural smile.
---
What is a Tooth Filling?
A tooth filling is a dental procedure in which decayed or damaged tooth material is removed and replaced with a strong filling material such as composite resin, amalgam, gold, or ceramic. This seals the cavity, prevents further decay, and restores the function of the tooth.
---
Step-by-Step Tooth Filling Procedure
1. Examination & Diagnosis
The dentist checks the tooth with X-rays to detect decay.
2. Anesthesia
Local anesthesia is given to ensure a painless procedure.
3. Decay Removal
The decayed portion of the tooth is carefully removed using dental instruments.
4. Cleaning the Cavity
The tooth is cleaned to remove bacteria and debris.
5. Filling Placement

Is Dental Implant Repair Possible?
Dental implants are a long-term solution for missing teeth, designed to restore your smile, chewing ability, and confidence. However, like any dental restoration, implants may occasionally face issues such as loose crowns, damaged prosthetics, gum problems, or implant failure.
The good news is that dental implant repair is often possible, depending on the problem. Common repair procedures include:
Crown Replacement: If the implant crown is chipped, cracked, or loose, it can often be replaced without affecting the implant itself.
Abutment Adjustment or Replacement: The abutment connects the implant post to the crown. If it loosens or wears out, it can be adjusted or replaced.
Implant-Supported Denture Repair: For patients with implant-supported dentures, adjustments or repairs may be done to restore proper fit and comfort.
Bone and Gum Treatment: In rare cases, gum infection or bone loss may require treatment to stabilize the implant.
At Dr. Gogia’s Super Specialty Dental Care Centre, our experts, Dr. Pradeep Gogia (MDS Endodontics, RCT & Smile Makeover Specialist) and Dr. Shilpa Gogia (Dental Surgeon), carefully evaluate each implant and recommend the safest and most effective repair method.
💡 Tip: Regular checkups and good oral hygiene are key to prolonging the life of dental implants. Avoid excessive force, maintain proper brushing and flossing, and visit your dentist regularly.

How to Prevent Tooth Decay: Complete Guide for Healthy Smiles
Introduction
A healthy smile is the foundation of overall wellness. One of the biggest threats to oral health is tooth decay. Millions of people worldwide, including children and adults, suffer from cavities and dental infections simply because preventive steps are ignored. The good news is — tooth decay can be avoided. With the right oral hygiene practices, healthy diet choices, and professional dental care, you can prevent tooth decay and keep your teeth strong for life
At Dr. Gogia’s Super Specialty Dental Care Centre in Rohtak, our specialists, Dr. Pradeep Gogia (MDS Endodontics, RCT & Smile Makeover Specialist) and Dr. Shilpa Gogia (Dental Surgeon), believe prevention is always better than cure. In this detailed blog, we’ll cover everything you need to know about tooth decay, its causes, and how to prevent it effectively.
What is Tooth Decay?
Tooth decay, also known as dental caries or cavities, occurs when the outer layer of the tooth (enamel) gets damaged by acid produced by bacteria. These bacteria feed on sugars and starches left on teeth after eating and drinking, producing acids that slowly eat away enamel.
If left untreated, tooth decay can:
Cause cavities
Lead to tooth pain and sensitivity

What if the gum you are chewing was actually capable of healing your teeth as you chew? In this groundbreaking episode of Science Unlocked, we explore the breakthrough realm of remineralizing gum—a new dental technology that’s transforming a mere habit into a potent oral health solution. Learn how this scientifically engineered gum goes beyond refreshing breath to take directly these important minerals, like calcium and phosphate, to the enamel, repairing tiny damage molecule by molecule. With decades of clinical research and real-world results backing it up, remineralizing gum featuring advanced compounds like CPP-ACP and xylitol, targets acid, rebuilds enamel, and starves cavity-causing bacteria. Find out why chewing for only 10-20 minutes after eating can lead to drastically lower cavities and make your teeth stronger naturally. This is not hype—it’s tough science. We also demystify how to select the right remineralizing gum and why timing is more important than you realize. Subscribe and tap into the potential of your own biology!

Tooth Cavity Filling: Restore Your Smile and Protect Your Teeth
A tooth cavity filling is one of the most common and effective dental treatments to save a tooth from further damage. Cavities, caused by tooth decay, can lead to pain, sensitivity, and infections if left untreated. At Dr. Gogia’s Super Specialty Dental Care Centre, Rohtak, we provide advanced and painless dental fillings that restore your teeth’s strength and beauty.
What is a Tooth Cavity Filling?
A cavity filling is a dental procedure in which the decayed portion of a tooth is removed and replaced with a suitable filling material. This restores the tooth’s structure, prevents bacteria from spreading, and helps you chew comfortably again.

You may need a cavity filling if you notice:
Tooth pain or sensitivity to hot/cold
Visible holes or dark spots on teeth
Food getting stuck in a tooth
Chipped or broken teeth
Rough edges causing discomfort
