As found, new old stock ~1960 Helium 3 speed Sportif .
A French barn find, she was sleeping among some other beauties still to be shown here.
Heliums were Peugeot's budget bikes but they were styling nonetheless, with striped fenders and all. Some nice components even like the saddle and pump, and 50 years after assembly the Soubitez lights are still working flawlessly.

A burlesque performance at the 7th annual Walpurgistnacht Black and White Masquerade Ball at the Incus house in Jamaica Plain, MA, 5-5-07. My little digital camera can't handle low light and too much motion, but I like the blurred effects in these photos, actually.

Alas, taking off my jacket wasn't enough, I guess I'd better undo a few more buttons. ^_^;
And, yes, that classic black bra is back yet again. I seem to remember Jane Curtin back on an episode of Saturday Night Live from 1977, where she flashed her own black bra, in response to complaints that Weekend Update just wasn't the same since "sexy" Chevy Chase stopped hosting it. ^_^;
Anyway, what was I talking about again? Oh, yeah - it is still rather hot, and I guess I'd better take advantage of the gentle breeze blowing around here.
(Next two pictures up in the stream are moderate-flagged... You can't be too careful. ^_-;)

WORKSHOP FOTO BURLESQUE

Domenica 30 Gennaio un piccolo teatro degli inizi del secolo scorso in provincia di Bergamo sarà la suggestiva location per un workshop fotografico unico nel suo genere sul tema burlesque organizzato da Franciacorta Foto Workshop.
Il workshop sarà guidato da Cesare Cicardini, fotografo di fama internazionale che per Contrasto ha immortalato star di fama mondiale e che per oltre un anno si è dedicato a ritrarre artiste burlesque italiane e internazionali, progetto che gli è valso due menzioni d'onore al Prix de la Photographie di Parigi e all'International Photography Award.
Recentemente Rizzoli ha pubblicato "The New Burlesque", che come racconta il fotografo: "è un vero spettacolo della seduzione, dove il successo non è dettato dalla bellezza, ma dalla capacità di affascinare, di creare il gioco, l'atmosfera, la sorpresa. Le ballerine di Burlesque si mettono in gioco in prima persona, nulla è seriale, finto o scontato, tutto è originale e personale. I vestiti vintage, le musiche, il soggetto dello striptease sono studiate ad hoc per la serata".
Sarà un'occasione imperdibile per apprezzare e fotografare un'artista burlesque d'eccezione: Janet Fischietto, senz'altro tra le più apprezzate burlesquer nel panorama europeo, e che grazie alle sue graffianti performance ha da poco conquistato anche il pubblico parigino.
La giornata è organizzata come un vero spettacolo e nulla è lasciato al caso. Dalla scelta della location, una perla nascosta unica nel suo genere, ai vestiti vintage, il trucco, le musiche fino allo striptease, per immortalare il più famoso spettacolo della seduzione.
Il workshop inizia con una breve presentazione del fotografo, dell'artista e più in generale della filosofia burlesque. Verranno poi approfondite le tecniche di ripresa e di illuminazione utilizzate da Cicardini per i suoi lavori fotografici. Le fasi di scatto vedranno i partecipanti impegnati dalle scene di backstage della preparazione dell'artista, al momento tanto atteso dello show.
Un'occasione unica per vivere una giornata a fianco di un grande fotografo e di una sensazionale diva.
