This incredible super mummy and Sumatran Tiger is called Kirana. I'm sure those photographers who were regulars at Chester Zoo will know her fondly because she is a natural at posing. I rest my case!!
Kirana is now enjoying retirement at the Big Cat Sanctuary, Kent. She clearly enjoys attention though, even on a hot afternoon and from what I observed yesterday, has settled in really well.
One thing about Mouse, she loves to have her picture taken, such a ham and always wants to be the center of attention! While we were taking pics of our dogs in the living room, Mouse came around to see what all the fuss was about. After a little bit, it was break time and as the dogs left "the set" Mouse came over and jumped up on the bench. It was as if she was thinking, "Stupid dogs, this is how you get your picture taken, sit on the dam bench and look at the camera!"

Et si, dans la vie, tout était question d'attitude. Un si petit oiseau avec un poids avoisinant les trois grammes prend une pose qui démontre une force de caractère!
Au jardin magique de Normand!
What if, in life, everything was a matter of attitude? Such a small bird, weighing nearly three grams, strikes a pose that demonstrates strength of character!

For 122 Pictures in 2022 #191 "Strike a pose", this white egret is posing in full breeding plumage looking for someone to have his children. Taken in Choke Canyon State Park, Texas. The park is on the shoreline of a 25,000 acre reservoir about halfway between Corpus Christi and San Antonio. It is home to a large number of bird species as well as deer, alligators, and other cuddly creatures.
I just love to watch and photograph the grebe family of birds. This western grebe is on alert for its mate. They often swim together, independently diving for food and when they emerge on the surface again, they call out, looking for each other. It's just so sweet. Of course, those red eyes alone, against the black head and white throat is enough to capture my attention. LOL. Now that summer is approaching, can't wait to get out and spend more time with them again.
Thanks for stopping by to view.

Call me mad, but this Palmate Newt definitely looks like it knows Kung Fu!
Palmate Newts are the smallest of the UK's native newts. The males are less showy than their smooth and great crested cousins, having less vivid colouring on their bellies and less of a crest. They do however have fantastic webbed feet, and are of course the only newts skilled in the martial arts!

We laughed when we spotted the bats nearby, they’d obviously gotten the invitation to my grandson’s Batman-themed 3rd birthday party!
Flying-foxes (aka fruit bats) are native to Australia and play a critical ecological role. They disperse rainforest seeds and cross-pollinate the flowers of native species over significant distances, helping to maintain genetic diversity. This role is particularly important in fragmented landscapes such as the Gold Coast, where native forest patches are smaller and isolated from continuous forest areas.

Khmer New Year (a.k.a. Choul Chnam Thmey and/or Songkran) is a major celebration in Cambodia that marks the traditional solar new year. It is celebrated every year during the whole week of April 14th and features various customs, rituals, and festivities that emphasize family, gratitude, and spiritual renewal. And, much like Songkran in Thailand, there are also water-gun fights and the smearing of baby powder all over your face and clothes, if you're not careful. 😁

Most people head back to their home provinces to celebrate with family, similar to the mass exodus from the cities that occurs during Chinese New Year.
The three boys above (yes, they are all boys 😅) are always happy to strike a pose. Now, more than ever, 'peace' seems like the right pose. ☮️

DDC-Strike A Pose
I told Shizandra "let me take your picture." She looked up at me and squinted. She thought the flash was going to go off, but it was light enough out so it didn't fire.
On January 30, 2021, Sophie Xeon passed away.
When I first came across Sophie in 2017, I was awestruck by her immense talent and her unique and innovative take on pop music as well as, all of its layers in the glitch/hyper pop realm. I hadn't ever heard anyone quite like her. She quickly started becoming more known and was even nominated for a Grammy for her debut album, "Oil of Every Pearl's Un-insides". Not to mention she became a trans icon in the lgbtq+ community when she revealed her identify to the world. To say I was heart broken to hear about her passing is a huge understatement. She truly was the future of music and the way we perceive vibrations as a creative outlet. I'll always love you, Sophie ◊
◊ For anyone wondering why that strange looking planet is hovering behind Sophie's head, right after she passed away, it just so happened that an intern working for NASA discovered a new planet. When images of said planet named, TOI-1338 b came out, many fans pointed out how similar the planet's gaseous surface layer resembled the cover of Sophie's debut album. When this happened, a petition was created to ask NASA to change the name of the planet to, Sophie.

This was snapped at a spot called... Strictly Held Satellite Facility in SL, last November, 2022. Not sure if it still exists, I couldn't find it in the SL search page.
Also not me... one of my lovely alts who runs around most of the time with the Erika body did this for me. I'm sure you can guess what happened later... :D
