No Stress, No Worries, Just Fun

Hi everyone! ... seems like such a long time sinse I've been here ... finally made myself sit down & tangle for awhile today ... 5x5, used a brown 0.3 prisma marker to do my tangles & then came back in with my "five" colors, yellow, orange, brown, green & blue, ( General Kimberly's watercolor pencils) wanted to keep it soft, muted & simple ... trying to keep everything simple & stressfree these days ... Note to Cat ... this will be coming your way soon:) Have a great week-end ... :) ... forgot to add I layed a piece of handmarbled paper over this in my scanner to help frame it out ...

As far as I know, this is the one and only ski lift powered by solar energy in Switzerland. Tenna is a laid-back mountain village with just one ski lift which stops for an hour during lunch time. I think that's so cute. It reminds me of my youth when even the Furkalift in Davos stopped at 12 o'clock for a lunch break.

hard to shoot when facing full light window on a dull day but you get the idea. yes he's sleeping. like that.

I had to hiked down the hills to get to the river. It would've been crazy if I didn't.'

THANK YOU for the visit! :)

A long week has turned into a long weekend, which will soon turn into another long week, and it got me thinking about relaxing times and places I've been. I took this picture in Hammock's Beach State Park in North Carolina in the summer of 2003, which was one of the most beautiful and most relaxing locations I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing.

The story behind this image, which was taken with my Nikon N65 (hence the graininess of the scanned in picture): I climbed up to the foot of the dunes to frame this shot with the sea oats in the foreground, and while I was lining it up my future wife (girlfriend at the time) came strolling into the frame. I remember thinking to myself, "Geez, she's not gonna let me get the shot I want" and then she did the most remarkable thing - she just threw her arms up high and looked at the sky like she didn't have a care in the world, and I snapped the frame. This is one of my most favorite candids that I've ever taken, and a true reminder of what it feels like to be wholly happy and free in your heart. Anyway, I just thought I'd share a little slice of one of my happy places for you to enjoy as well :-) Hope you are all having a great weekend!

Just north of San Francisco two and half hours.

In all the world... no waters like these.

I believe it's important for everyone to have that one place or activity they can turn to when things feel overwhelming. Mine is sitting on the edge of the lake watching and listening to all the life bustling around.

Got to spend a few hours on the 241 toll road in California because people think they are driving speed boats in the rain.

Took advantage of the view!

"El Tamarindón" en el Barrio de Subtiava.

En este tamarindón.. Colgaron al cacique Adiac

Revista no. 66
