i'm loving new york.
classes have been going smoothly but also stealing my time from me. i quit the job that i got when i first came here because there aren't enough hours in the day to go to work and school and have a life, and i'm so glad i did. i have lots of free time to explore and have fun now. moving to the city during fashion week made me hate all my clothing so i've been slowly adding a few essentials to my wardrobe and giving away the things i should have thrown away months ago and figuring out what i like and don't like. my university sanctioned apartment (basically a dorm) is probably the worst possible one i could have been assigned to. some people in my building have huge balconies and views of the empire state building while i look into a courtyard that blocks any natural light from coming into my tiny bedroom, which i share. but oh well. i've made some great connections here as well and met tons of cool people. it's a good place to be :)
oh. and. cockroaches and rats.
