Tucked away in the middle of a sandfly-infested swamp near Nina Hut in North Canterbury.
I didn't really notice the bites until a day later - a hefty dose of antihistamine pills definitely helped, and I *know* that only I lived to tell the tale :)

This stream runs along Cross Country Blvd, one block down from my street. After torrential rains and thunderstorms all afternoon, there was enough of a break to go down and check out the stream.

Went out on a small trail near the Roaring Fork motor trail and sighted this beautiful place. The Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Tennessee.
A small side stream as it meanders through the lush meadow just above Heart Lake in the Little Lakes Valley. I enjoy capturing the minute scenes among the tower granite giants of the Eastern Sierra Mountains. To me it is what give life and meaning to the entire eastern environment.
"Winter Stream - Vertical" by Patti Deters. An almost frozen stream meanders through the woods at Swing Bridge Park in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. Located on the Mississippi River, it's a small local city park, but offers many pretty and scenic views with water and trees. A fresh blanket of snow covers the trees and undergrowth serving up this high key landscape view.
