Water falls over the rocks of this mountain stream near Andrews, North Carolina. See this, and more, on my website at www.tom-claud.pixels.com.
I am very impressed with the dynamic range of my new (secondhand) A7iii, and the resultant details in the dark areas.
The previous image is a crop of this one with very different tone settings. (Lightroom)
Madonna del Feles, on a cold rainy afternoon - in fact note the snow almost completely melted - the wet leaves, survived the cold winter, have taken on more vivid shades: the water, wetting them, has increased their color and has made them more shiny. A precious opportunity, not to be wasted... in fact, the large chestnut leaves, dry, are of an orangeish brown that isn't really a splendor.

During our cruise down the Yangtze River in China, we boarded a small touring boat like the one shown in the bottom right of this image and set out to explore the scenic Goddess Stream (aka Shennv Stream). The beautiful stream is located in Wushan County along the Yangtze River. between Qinshi Town and Feifeng Peak.

This was a stream I spotted near to our accommodation in Cornwall. The fallen leaves on the moss covered rocks tells the story of approaching Autumn and high winds. later that day it stared to rain and carried on for hours, the next morning it was a couple of feet deep I think . A five shot focus stack.
My title is from an album by Wishbone Ash "Argus "
Like a beautiful natural dream
The source of life, it does stream
Carrying time, carrying fate
Carrying love, carrying hate
A miracle sent down from the skies
Tears that poured from creations eyes
The source of life, that does stream
Flowing wildly, like a beautiful dream
I was in Virginia on business earlier this week. Autumn is in full swing up there. On the drive up there, I was on a tight schedule and couldn't stop to take pictures. If you've never driven through western Virginia, you are definitely missing out. The mountains, the beautiful rolling foothills, a lot of classic scenes of rural America, etc. In other words....a million photo ops.
Fortunately on the way home yesterday, I wasn't on a schedule, so I took a trip up into the mountains off I-81, through a town called Vesuvius. I eventually ended up visiting a place called Crabtree Falls (sheer luck). On the way, I passed by several spots on this mountain stream and stopped a couple of times to shoot it. The entire place was breathtaking.
Dreaming of my mountains.
The Grandes Murailles is a mountain chain located in Aosta Valley between Valpelline and Valtournenche. Lies to the west of Cervinia.
From the left Cresta Albertini and Dent d’Herens , surrounded with clouds Punta Bianca, Punta Carrel and Punta Mara Cristina.
As the sun was setting, I hiked through the trail. Hearing thunder off in the distance, I knew I had to go a long way. I approached this little creek running down to the river. I stopped to just take in the scene!
