Isn't it pretty?! From the CA Railroad Museum website:
"On the train’s south end is Western Pacific Railroad streamlined diesel-electric locomotive No. 913. Built in 1950 by the Electro-Motive Division of General Motors in La Grange, Illinois, this 1,500 horsepower locomotive pulled freight trains along the “Feather River Route” between Oakland and Salt Lake City. Its colorful and sleek lines belie the fact that this off-the-shelf, standardized locomotive model was a freight hauler, rather than a passenger service locomotive."
