While we were in the Kawarthas, we did a couple hikes through the Silent Lake Provincial Park. I wasn't expecting to see much in the "deep woods" but it turns out that was my favorite part. There were many little water falls, streams and ponds throughout the woods. Great hiking area

I used different colors of Sharpie pens for each ring in the circles....then long wavy vertical lines with a few circles. All experimentation to see what the colors would do when sprayed with alcohol. I had outlined the circles with red, orange, pink, and green Sharpies. On fabric.

This is a HDR of 5 long exposures all shot with a 18-55mm lens@40mm, with Nikon 4x ND filter, at f22 in 1 f-stop intervals and merged to HDR to really emphasise the detail in the rocks and algae. The correct exposure (+/- 0 EV) was then softened and once again overlaid the merged HDR and set to 25% opacity to add back some the silkiness to the moving water and the overall mistiness to the image that was lost during the HDR process.

I changed the tune in the photoshop to make the pic more greenish. The softness made by open-aperture and under-exposure gave the dizzy look. Nice pic!

To prevent livestock straying from the field and into the land on the other side of the railway line an old gate has been placed across the stream. Twigs, small branches and leaves build up and form a dam restricting the flow of water. One of the tasks was to clear the debris. A couple of months back a lovely girl called Angela Chan and I decided we'd make a stop motion together. Things didn't go to plan, naturally, but that made it all the more fun.

Blame flickr for now allowing the full video.

As darkness approached, I noticed this stream through the trees at Jonathan Run~OPSP.
