A radio transmission by Lovell, "Houston, we've had a problem", has become widely misquoted in popular culture as, "Houston, we have a problem".
Apollo 13 was the third manned mission by NASA intended to land on the moon, but experienced a mid-mission technical malfunction that forced the lunar landing to be aborted. The crew was Commander James A. Lovell, Command Module pilot John L. "Jack" Swigert, and Lunar Module pilot Fred W. Haise.

When the big swell is crashing into the rocks, you always need to have an exit strategy. Even the rock fisherman were staying up high this afternoon at Maroubra.
I settled up in San Sebastian, beautiful city that would be my home for eleven days. I was conscious that searching for a dragon would require massive courage, force and bravery, so I came to Peine del Viento to refill energy and to define my searching strategy...
SQL ,often referred to as Structured Query Language, is a database computer language designed for managing data in relational database management systems (RDBMS), and originally based upon relational algebra and calculus. Its scope includes data insert, query, update and delete, schema creation and modification, and data access control. SQL was one of the first commercial languages for Edgar F. Codd's relational model, as described in his influential 1970 paper, "A Relational Model of Data for Large Shared Data Banks".Despite not adhering to the relational model as described by Codd, it became the most widely used database language.

My write up on photographing the new Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas here
On the weekend of November 20-21, 2010, I was invited to photograph the new Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas prior to their opening December 15, 2010 in Las Vegas NV.
This set of images represents my efforts that weekend to showcase this newest resort property opening up on the Las Vegas Strip. Thanks to David Scherer from The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas for showing me around, to Miiko Mentz at Katalyst Films for helping to arrange the shoot, and to my wife for modeling for me.

Unfinished pages
One of my most basic sketchbook compositional strategies is to leave a lot of spare white space on the page. I don't often do a sketch that totally fills a page or spread (sometimes, but it is not standard) this then leaves me room for adding text or drawing a map or other collage bits and pieces.
Here is a collection of pages from my 4 sketchbooks that are incomplete… when having a crazy non stop trip being with people all the time leaving plenty of white spaces is even more important. I am conscious during the day of leaving gaps so that when I get a chance (sometimes in the evening or early the next morning) to fill in more details. Sometimes I only get the linework done, or a pencil outline of the map etc. Some trips I have very little homework as I do most of it in the evening… but this trip, I have a lot. Thats ok - I love drawing maps and adding the details as I want to create a record of my adventures and it makes the trip extend longer…..
Also on very busy days when rushing from one social engagement to another and trying to squeeze in a sketch that I don't really have time to attempt (do I ever do that???) I do resort to taking a photo and adding the colour later… I much prefer to add paint at the time but sometimes have to compromise...
Some of these pages are going to be a fun compositional challenge to complete (something that I really love… trying to tie together various images on a page)
The trading landscape is rapidly changing and with several options available, people are finding the market both profitable and enticing. Trading has become less about making money/profit but rather investing for your future self by analyzing factors that influence it; this way you can have more control of how much work goes into earning funds versus what's spent without having any regrets when things get tough in times like these!
When you're investing your hard-earned money, the last thing that anyone wants is a costly mistake. The risks and rewards present in trading can be tricky to navigate but if we take these into consideration with careful planning beforehand then our chances of making an excellent decision improve greatly!
Think, don’t guess. If you want to be a successful trader, one of the most important skills that will help is being able to think about what's happening in markets without getting too emotional. It can sometimes seem like traders are only influenced by their own feelings and opinions but this couldn't be farther from reality- they need hard facts and strong arguments when making predictions for future events or trends which could affect how valuable an investment opportunity might turn out to be. A good way someone might succeed at investing based on information gathered while also paying attention during market fluctuations would have him/her contemplate all possible factors affecting said investments including things such as economic news items; company earnings reports etc.
Don’t stick to a single asset. Instead of risking all your money on one asset, such as stocks or crypto currency; it is wise to invest in various assets at once. You can invest and trade various assets with the help of professional brokers such as Just2Trade. by j2t.com/pl/tickerinfo/ - an international investment company that provides its clients with direct access to the world's major foreign exchange and stock markets. This company provides a full range of investment services and helps you reach your financial goals.
Investment in several assets at once reduces potential market risk and volatility for your portfolio as a whole, helping to reduce the likelihood of any single transaction losing money while others do well because they weren't part of what caused the breakdown in that particular industry/market segment. Whether you trade forex (finance), metals and mining (business) or commodities, diversification helps protect against disasters due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control!
Act to the best of your ability. Leverage is a financial instrument that can be helpful when used correctly. The key to success with leverage, as it turns out, comes down both to knowing how much risk you're willing take on and what your goals are - whether they're safe returns or high profits without too much volatility in between them; if there's any uncertainty about this decision then don't trade using borrowed funds because the possible loss will just become greater than whatever profit could have been made had someone else done all the work first!

A Gold 45 Goddess exalts the archetypal form of Athena--the Greek Goddess of wisdom, warfare, strategy, heroic endeavour, handicrafts and reason. A Gold 45 Goddess embodies 45SURF's motto "Virtus, Honoris, et Actio Pro Veritas, Amor, et Bellus, (Strength, Honor, and Action for Truth, Love, and Beauty," and she stands ready to inspire and guide you along your epic, heroic journey into art and mythology. It is Athena who descends to call Telemachus to Adventure in the first book of Homer's Odyssey--to man up, find news of his true father Odysseus, and rid his home of the false suitors, and too, it is Athena who descends in the first book of Homer's Iliad, to calm the Rage of Achilles who is about to draw his sword so as to slay his commander who just seized Achilles' prize, thusly robbing Achilles of his Honor--the higher prize Achilles fought for. And now Athena descends once again, assuming the form of a Gold 45 Goddess, to inspire you along your epic journey of heroic endeavour. Just like Helen of Troy, she's worth fighting a ten year war for! :)

Ergo dx4/dt=ic--the foundational equation of all time and motion which is on all the shirts and swimsuits. Every photon that hits my Nikon D800e's sensor does it by surfing the fourth expanding dimension, which is moving at c relative to the three spatial dimensions, or dx4/dt=ic!
All The Best on your EPIC hero's journey from Johnny Ranger McCoy! :)
Falling in love with the full frame 36 megapixel e mount Sony A7R!
The books behind the pretty goddess on the Malibu beach hut and surfboard are The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire by Edward Gibbon, Homer's Iliad, Homer's Odyssey, Shakespeare, and Herman Melville's Moby Dick! My favorite books! Will have some video of the pretty model reading them beside a campfire soon.
They're all collectors editions! My books cost as much as my surfboards!
And for those who always ask, I shoot in RAW! Always! :)

Part 17
It had been a week since we had reached Avon when scout came, with a message for Miri. "We just received news of an invasion from the east. The Queen's troops are going to cross the King Strait and sweep into Lenfald. Scouts say there are thousands of them."
Miri nodded and the scout left the room.
She handed me the message. "Looks like we're going to taste some war."
"Whoa, wait a second. You only have around 70 men. We won't be able to make a dent in the Queen's army."
"Yes, but there are scores of other Lenfel bands around these forests. Together we can really put a thorn in Galanir's side. "
"Oh! Great! Good. Awesome." There was a long pause, "Soooo. . . are you going to send for them?"
Miri shrugged. "Why? We all know that the army is coming. They'll make plans while we make plans."
My head jerked around. "What!? You won't have an organized plan!? No no no. Call them here! We need a plan."
She grinned. "Haha, you Loreesi. Always needing a plan. Ah well. I'll call as many as I can here."
As she walked out of the room, I found a map and got to work.
