Over 2 days, European and international institutions and donors, the European Civic Forum, in cooperation with Civil Society Europe, organised a meeting that brought together key civic actors from various backgrounds at national and European level, as well as policy makers and donors, to engage with the overarching strategic question: "How can we enable, protect and expand Europe's civic space in order to create greater social and environmental justice and democracy for all? The objective of the meeting was to identify the building blocks and concrete actions needed to create an enabling space in the EU, including a pan-European campaign on European civil society strategy before the European elections and the structures needed to coordinate it, in Brussels on 5-6 December 2022.
