Decided to chase a storm near Lake Mendota in Middleton, Wisconsin. Took 10 snaps and got lucky with two exposures. Scary moment but rewarding. I came home with a broken umbrella and wet shoes.

Great clouds filled the skies before the rains came.

Many thanks for views, faves and commends dear friends!.

The Alberta prairie is great for watching storms this Summer they never stop coming. the time lapse:

Katherine, Northern Territory. Australia. Wet season in the NT. The night was almost completely black when not illuminated by the lightening.

Toruń is one of most attractive and historic towns in Poland.

It is famous for being the birthplace ( in 1474 ) of the Polish astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus whose epochal book, De Revolutionibus Orbium Coelestium is universally regarded as the starting point of modern astronomy.

In 1997 the old medieval quarter of Toruń comprising the Old Town ( 1233 ), the New Town ( 1264 ) and the Teutonic Knights Castle ( mid 13th c. ) was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site for having preserved almost intact its original medieval street layout. Toruń is full of Gothic monuments of architecture, all built of brick, such as the Town Hall, The Leaning Tower, numerous churches and many burgher houses around the central market square and the surrounding streets.

If you ever are in Gdańsk on the coast, I recommend driving down to Toruń - it's only 2hrs away on the motorway - the place has a great artistic atmosphere and a lively cafe scene.

This was one of the heaviest thunders what i have experienced.

Long exposure for soft, painted effect on grass and motion effect to the spinning windmill. I took this photo shortly after the wind really picked up, and several minutes before a big storm moved in--thunder, rain, strong winds, and hail. You can see the storm front to the right side of the photo.

P.S. The only post-processed properties were levels, plus it was cropped from the original image. Simply the photos looked stunning straight from camera :-)

Severe Tropical Storm "Kammuri" was standing some 60 nautical miles south of Zhuhai. The strong ocean swell caused huge waves to crash against the seawall of the promenade on Lovers Avenue (情侣路).

What's usually a crowded place with couples strolling in the warm evening breeze was now nearly deserted. Just a few daring people were out and got wet.

And this is only a tropical storm - rest assured: when we had a genuine Typhoon it looked different and nobody would be here at all.

Another "reactivated" archive shot.

And no, the photo is not taken in Macau, though the buildings in the background are already in Macau.
