This is a view of the storage room from the main hallway. You can also see where the bathroom and mechanical room will be. All the stuff in the storage room are things that were in various locations in the basement before we started this project. They've been moved in the storage room so they'd be out of the way.

Please bear with me, all my friends not located in the American West. This small set of ruins would not be worth a glance in places where buildings are measured in centuries!
For those in my area of the world, a set of arches with rough blocks without mortar roughly on the Santa Fe Trail are an object of interest. They are roughly half-way between Council Grove and Garnett. They're far from the road, hidden in trees next to a creek bed. I've never seen a reference to them, and they're 50 miles away from the smallest historical societies. I spoke to all the local farm families..., not a one had even noticed them camouflaged in the woods!
This must have been a grand place in 1840. The arches are chipped out of local stones and have stood the test of time quite easily. Not a hint of road or floor remains.
Any ideas from any Wild West historians?
This is the "storage area" that's located at the back of the rec room downstairs.
I was told that the wall to the right isn't load-bearing, so it's low-hanging fruit to make the space more cohesive. Now, if we could just hide the dryer and heating vents...
