I've rooted Kiwi from cuttings (since 2007), but didn't really know where to plant them, so they have spent years in 1 gallon pots. I placed the pots in an empty space in one of my vegetable beds and over the years they have grown roots outside the pots and established themselves in the bed.
They were getting bigger and bigger and I had trouble accessing the middle part of that vegetable bed, so this year, I decided that they have to move!... I decided to permanently plant them into the two large blue bins behind our storage. They should get ok light there and they'll finally not be in the way, so I can easily plant in that vegetable bed again.
I moved them (4 total plants) in a span of two days late February, before they fully awaken from dormancy... I first moved two plants into one bin. The roots of the tall ones where big!... I had to cut some, but I think the plant will be ok. I amended the soil with compost and fed it with general organic vegetable fertilizer and Azomite. I did the same with the remaining two plants... I think they will be much happier here and hopefully they'll bare fruit this year.
I have to go through my photo library and figure out the planting history of each plant, since a couple of them have lost their tags.

About a month ago I installed these cool shelves in an attempt to pack as much stuff as possible into our wee kitchen. Actually it's not a "wee kitchen" so much as it is a kitchen constructed with as many impediments to storage as possible. Fear not. I shall prevail: one day all Daniel's cheffy stuff will have a home in the kitchen. Just not quite yet.

Bike racing fan of the 80's was not only about the racing, the innovation around access to watch saw a revolution.
This era of the 80's saw the beginnings of Satellite TV, suddenly access to these races for generality across continents was possible. We were in a world where we could now follow riders, racers across a season, at the time also free.
That is, if you had a satellite dish.
Eurosport, and those early German channels were a great way into the world of Grand Prix, Superbike, Club racing. Following a British rider as said through a season was of course a new luxury.
Up's and downs of a year in racing to view in real time was to me a new exciting innovation in access.
Scotland's Niall Mackenzie timing wise was among those in this new media of satellite tv. Print media readership was still strong, social media was not a thing as now where riders can manage their own content to a degree. With that in mind.
Took it upon myself to file up what was in storage at my once parents house and garage. The T-Shirts I kept going and do pick up occasionally even still now. Old racing T's now a collectable it appears..
Road Racer magazine and RPM issues I have just filed up Mackenzie although do have some other back issues. Birthday cards were designed by Kevin Sheppard, T's Mostly by Mick Fisher. .An assortment of memorabilia from mugs to phone cards.
Reasons for, worked as a photojournalist and researcher, archival. A case of news desk national and, which I still do, 17th Century archives. So kinda what I did and do.
Mackenzie files really are a source file, looking at 80's 90's which was a golden age really racing wise.

White, cotton gloves as well as disposable gloves without powder are acceptable to use for handling. Thanks to pinterest we copied this idea and we absolutely love it and wished we'd done it in every room. The black carpet in here really lifts the room and there is no need for colour on the walls.
