If you look closely you may see Cosmo flowers peaking through bullet holes, and blood spattered concrete (Cosmo means the reverse of ‘chaos’. These flowers represent dignity and peace.) ENG: Yesterday on Sunday there was a demonstration in Berlin for the immediate stop of Putin's war in the Ukraine and peace in the world. According to the Berlin police, several hundred thousand people were on the "Straße des 17. Juni" at the Brandenburg Gate for the peace demonstration. That touched me very much yesterday, a 10-year-old child with a sign in his hand.

Personally, I did not condemn the Russian people, but I did condemn the state leadership. There are only losers on all sides. GER: Gestern am Sonntag gab es eine Demonstration in Berlin für den sofortigen Stopp des Putin Krieg in der Ukraine und Frieden in der Welt. Laut der Berliner Polizei waren mehrere Hunderttausend Menschen unterwegs auf der „Straße des 17. Juni“ am Brandenburger Tor für die Friedensdemonstration. Das hatte mich gestern sehr berührt, ein etwa 10-jähriges Kind mit einem Schild in der Hand.

Ich persönlich verurteilte nicht das russische Volk, aber sehr wohl die Staatliche Führung. Es gibt nur Verlierer und das auf allen Seiten. Egal ob es der eigene Bruder in der Russischen Armee ist, der Sohn einer ukrainischen Familie der gerade seine Stadt verteidigt oder einfach nur der Bürger egal welchem Land er angehört, der Angst vor einem Nuklearen Schlag hat.

Denkt bitte alle an die Zukunft eurer Kinder!!!

One month since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine began on February 24.

More than 3.5 million Ukrainians have fled the country, according to the United Nations, while another 7 million have been displaced from their homes but remain in Ukraine.

Four weeks of Russian military attacks on villages, suburbs, and cities, include hospitals, schools, supermarkets and malls, residential neighborhoods, have taken an enormous toll —thousands of soldiers have been killed so far, and the United Nations reports that 977 civilian deaths have been recorded ... but could be much more !

The mystical and human artistic thematic area in which I have been working for ten years reflects my deep conviction and concern for humanity and especially in its spiritual but also humanist dimension, both in terms of human and social rights and in environmental relations.

I have tried through my work as well as many of my Flickr artist friends to alert to the dramatic human situation that this senseless war has affected so many innocent people and especially the barbarity with which it is covered !!

I thank all those who have also denounced this deadly conflict through their work and the constant appeal for Peace both here on Flickr and on social networks!

But I also thank all those who have courageously denounced to national and supranational authorities, to the world political class, social organizations and human rights groups a war that should never have existed!

At this moment, we can all make a difference and at least put pressure on political decision-makers to end this abominable senseless war!
