We made a round trip from De Rust over the awe-inspiring <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swartberg_Pass to Prince Albert, returning via Meiringspoort.

When I stopped eating red meat 6 years ago, it was for health reasons (cholesterol). When I stopped eating poultry 2 years ago it was because of the horrific smell and creepiness I saw in North Carolina's chicken processing industry (the largest employer in Wilkes County is Tyson). Thursday night, after reading an article in National Geographic about the chemicals and heavy metals that make their way into our bodies I decided to stop eating fish. I do have some in my freezer and cabinet, which I will finish, and it will be very hard to not have sushi....but I'm going to do it. For myself. It's not like I eat fish all the time anyway.
