I have plenty of these this year and it has been pretty noisy in my yard with them all protesting that the parents have stopped feeding them.

To be fair, the train did stop, although nobody boarded. The conductor would throw the switch at the Heath Springs siding and then the power would head back to the other end of the train for a run to Lancaster and Richburg, SC.

It seems like only yesterday when it was ME in THIS neighborhood waiting for the bus with my best friends. Now I have THREE KIDS at the bus stop. Two of which actually go to school.
This was my final stop in Siskiyou County. McCloud Falls is a 3 tiered waterfall and I only had enough time to check out middle falls after visiting Hedge Creek and Mossbrae. If your ever in Northern California, these falls are easily accessible as each is about a 5 minute walk from the parking lot. I would have loved to photograph middle falls from different angles but it was freezing and trekking across the rocks was very unsafe. The rocks were covered in ice and it was impossible to walk on them without slipping. I learned that mistake very early on when trying to climb to a higher vantage point around Hedge Creek falls.
WE train 618 roars upgrade out of Finleyville, Pennsylvania. lead unit 6354 was featured in the movie “unstoppable” as “AWVR 1206”.
One of the ladies having done this for many many years, is honoured this end of year by the Queen. With that, I feel all of them doing it for their community are honoured, too.
