Posing before Indonesia’s legendary Borobudur temple. I climbed up to the base and came back down after circumambulating the temple at base level- I did not climb all the way to the top as it was just too steep, and black clouds were indicative of an oncoming cloudburst anyway. The temple does not look half as high as the Sigiraya shrine in Sri Lanka, which I had visited back in 2011, but maybe because I am that much older today, but climbing up to the top of this rockpile in the background is no mean task, thanks to the steep angle of climb and the height of each step.
