This fox is a variation of Larissa Holland's Wee Mouse Tin House pattern. The fox is my design, but I've used her teddy bear and based the Fox in a Box on her concept of the Wee Mouse Tin House.

He makes a great traveling companion and can easily be tucked into a purse or bag.

The fox stands just under 3.25" (about 8 cm) tall from toes to top of his ears and his little teddy bear is just over 1.5" (about 4 cm) tall.

The set includes the fox in copper and white felt, teddy bear in wheat felt, pillow in lilac felt, blanket in lavender felt, mattress in purple felt, and the Altoids tin.

The felt used in this set is 100% wool and the fox, teddy bear, and pillow are stuffed with unspun wool. Cotton embroidery floss was used for the embroidered details and construction.

It's June and that means blueberry season! I was inspired by Elsa Beskow's fabulous blueberry boys in her story, "Peter in Blueberry Land", when I created this blueberry child.

This needle felted blueberry child would be happy to adorn a Summer nature table or become a character in a story.

Standing just over 5" (12.7 cm) tall he was constructed entirely of cleaned carded wool that I sculpted using a felting needle and needle felting techniques. All of the wool was either natural (undyed) wool or wool that I personally hand dyed using food grade dyes.

A Rocking Horse Counted Cross Stitch Needlepoint kit from "the New Berlin Co" which makes an ornament that comes complete with frame, fabric, colored thread/embroidery floss, needle, and instructions. Made in the USA too. :)

It's a great gift for a child, or some one just getting into the hobby as it's a fairly simple project which looks pretty cool when done.

I never did this one (obviously) but did do a few others. It was fun (and easy with good instructions), just not for me. Horses however, well... I still love them in pretty much all their incarnations including the rocking horse -- just check out all the other horses in my stream :D

I have another unused kit I just found which has the words, "Christmas is a season of Love" inside a star shaped frame with green thread star topped by a red bow (picture up soon).

Makes for a great stocking stuffer. :)

See my other Horse stuff (most of it available for rehoming). :)

~~

All these (and more) need new homes as I'm going to a different country for an extended stay soon so send me a Flickr Mail message (access through the arrow that appears near my profile photo when mousing over it, or click on the little tan envelope that appears on my profile page) if interested.
