The Stockholm archipelago is the second largest in the Baltic and consists of 30,000 islands and rocks extending out for 80 km east into the Baltic Sea from the city of Stockholm.
Waiting for warmer times...
This photo is for the wonderful Dimman, who made this spot “world famous”! Really look forward to our sun rise sessions here, soon!

Have a nice weekend!
Seen on the route Riga-Stockholm.
The Stockholm archipelago is the largest archipelago in Sweden, and the second-largest archipelago in the Baltic Sea (the largest being across the Baltic in Finland).
Today the archipelago is a popular holiday destination with some 50,000 holiday cottages (owned mainly by Stockholmers). Visiting the larger islands in the archipelago is easy all year round, but during winter period the routes depend on the ice conditions. Several companies have regular routes.

Swedish square metre yachts racing off the lighthouse Gastholmsgrund in Kanholmsfjärden, Stockholm archipelago, on June 5, 1922. The boat closest is publisher and entrepreneur Erik Åkerlund´s 95-S8 Britt-Marie, designed by Tore Holm and built by Holms Yachtvarv, Gamleby, in 1921. The 21.27 metre (LOA) Britt-Marie was for many years one of the fastest yachts in Sweden and won many races already during her debut year. The boat behind Britt-Marie is 150-S1 Ebella, designed by August Plym in 1920.
My restoration and colorization of Bertil Norberg´s photo in the Digital Museum archive.
Fortunately Britt-Marie is well preserved and sailing:https://classicsailboats.org/portf.../tore-holm-britt-marie/
