Thanks to my precious cat Leo this still life came alive:)
Thank you all very much for your time and kind comments!
This took a bit of doing. I didn't like the green and brown background of the water and vegetation. I used three different programs I wrote myself to try to get rid of those colours:
* One which only retains colour for in-focus regions. Uses contrast mapping i.e. maps the directional derivative.
* One which discards a specific range of hues. Uses vectors.
* One which merges images (well, that's nothing special but it IS quick and automatic)
Keeping the red and blue were easy. Keeping the yellow while discarding green, brown and yellow-green was the tricky bit.

Thank you everyone so much for sharing your quality photos which is a great way to see and keep in touch with the world from home. Also for your kind comments and favours which are much valued.

An Apple Ghatering
by Christina Georgina Rosseti
I Plucked pink blossoms from mine apple-tree
And wore them all that evening in my hair:
Then in due season when I went to see
I found no apples there.
With dangling basket all along the grass
As I had come I went the self-same track:
My neighbours mocked me while they saw me pass
So empty-handed back.
Lilian and Lilias smiled in trudging by,
Their heaped-up basket teazed me like a jeer;
Sweet-voiced they sang beneath the sunset sky,
Their mother’s home was near.
Plump Gertrude passed me with her basket full,
A stronger hand than hers helped it along;
A voice talked with her through the shadows cool
More sweet to me than song.
Ah Willie, Willie, was my love less worth
Than apples with their green leaves piled above?
I counted rosiest apples on the earth
Of far less worth than love.
So once it was with me you stooped to talk
Laughing and listening in this very lane;
To think that by this way we used to walk
We shall not walk again!
I let my neighbours pass me, ones and twos
And groups; the latest said the night grew chill,
And hastened: but I loitered; while the dews
Fell fast I loitered still.

Celebrating the creation of my 1rst Group in Flickr: "The Apple Tree of Texture"
If you love to work images with textures and you recognize to those who work hard to make possible your artwork (meaning that you don't credit yourself for the textures that you use, unless of course, the texture is your creation), please join us and have fun. We are committed to give you the credit that your work is deserving.

Visiting Elizabethtown. Brought my watercolors with me. This is sort of a reverse the painting I did last weekend from the opposite angle.
When practising the piano I have to play a little and lie on the sofa to rest a short while before continuing but yesterday I got distracted looking at the shape of the cloth and table from the viewpoint lying down and thought I'd focus on it for a photo. The result was that the flowers looked incongruous and tiny. I needed a big pot of flowers instead so got busy collected some from the garden. My piano practice was abandoned.
Due to long-term poor health I'm unable to take on new contacts but do my best to reply to comments. Thank you so much for your interest, comments and favours on my photostream. Also for your good wishes. I send you joy and peace.

I have just started on this perfume today, and I like it.
It is an oriental gourmand, citrus, vanilla, pie spice, chocolate, musk.
The bottles are very pretty as you can see,
Get Pushed, Round 29: I was paired with Rich Levine, whose photo stream is amazingly creative (including what he did with my push!): www.flickr.com/photos/39106551@N08/
He wrote: "I'd like you to create a still life - your choice of objects. Make it colored or b&w as you chose.
Extra points for capturing the image from a less obvious angle (point of view).
Even more extra points for eliciting an emotion from the viewer (I know this will be really hard to do) - your choice of an attempted emotion, but I also know that each viewer perceives an image from his/her own experiences, so that each viewer may see the same thing and feel differently about it."
Well Rich, I thought about this A LOT....and finally came up with these shots....hope they correspond a bit to what you had in mind....tango shoes are charged with emotion for me, at least...(and my husband agreed). In any case, I really enjoyed doing these, and thank you very much for this challenge!
