Ich glaube, das könnte mein bestes Bild 2020 werden. Wenn man bedenkt, dass es freihand mit Smartphone entstanden ist, dann erkennt man was die Technik in den letzten Jahren für einen Sprung gemacht hat.
I think this image will become one of my best in 2020. Considering that it was taken by my smartphone without any tripod one can imagine how far technology has come in the last years.

An der Einmündung des Flusses Steyr (links oben) in die Enns. Am anderen Ufer sieht man die Vorstadt Steyrdorf mit der Michaelerkirche und ihren zwei Türmen und links davon den Turm der Bürgerspitalkirche. Die Brücke verbindet Steyrdorf mit der Inneren Stadt.
At the confluence of the Steyr River (above left) and the Enns River. On the other bank you can see the suburb of Steyrdorf with the St. Michael's Church and its two towers and on its left the tower of the Church of the Bürgerspital. The bridge connects Steyrdorf with the Inner City.
Der Stadtplatz, in der Mitte das 1765 bis 1778 errichtete Rokokorathaus mit Turm und charakteristischer Haube. Steyr ist mit ca. 38.000 Einwohnern die drittgrößte Stadt von Oberösterreich.
Steyr is the third largest city in Upper Austria with a population of about 38,000. Here you can see the Stadtplatz (Town Square), the building in the middle is the rococo town hall, which was built between 1765 and 1778.

The AVIF image compression (in the HEIF container) is a very promising format as it provides good image quality in a very small package and is (in comparison to HEIC) free of any licenses. I hope Flickr as well as Google and Microsoft products will soon have full support for this innovation.
Besides the high compression efficiency the big advantage over JPEG is that a color depth per channel of 10 and even 12 bit is supported.

On the left you can see the Enge Gasse ("Narrow Alley"), which leads to the central Stadtplatz ("Town Square"), and on the right the ramp to Lamberg Castle.
Ursprung des Flusses Steyer der hier aus unterirdischen Quellen entspringt. Der Steyr-Ursprung ist eine typische Karstquelle. Das Wasser das hier an die Oberfläche tritt ist als Regen auf die umliegenden Berge gefallen und langsam durch den Kalkstein gesickert. Nach 2 - 3 Jahren tritt es hier wieder an die Oberfläche und bildet den Ursprung des Flusses Steyr.
Beginning of the river Steyr, which originates from subterranean springs. The Steyr-Ursprung is a typical karst spring. The water which surfaces here, fell as rain on the surrounding mountains. It seeped slowly through the limestone. After 2 - 3 years it surfaces here again and forms the origin of the river Steyr.
