Stephen Colbert borrows a used Olympic torch from the audience for his opening.

To get around the IOC's draconian licensing rules, The Colbert Report called its Vancouver 2010 Olympic shows: "Exclusive Vancouverage of the 2010/Quadrennial Cold Weather Athletic Competition/Defeat the World! " It's very similar to what LuluLemon called its non-authorized clothing line: "Cool Sporting Event That Takes Place in British Columbia Between 2009 & 2011 Edition"

Writing on the wall at the line for the Colbert Report

"We don' need no stinkin' papers Arizona

Tres Amigos estan aqui"

I'm putting Dan Uggla and Brad Lidge on notice - Uggla for his THREE fielding errors, and hitting into a DP with a man on third and only one out, and Lidge for giving up the winning run. Will the NL ever win another All-Star game?

"protected reality" ha!

Ok... not really but I was pretending he was.

Taken at the Rally to Restore Sanity on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.

My fiancee, brother, and I are on our way to Washington, D.C. for the Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear. I'll be taking photos with my cell phone and will be uploading them as I can.

I went to the rally in D.C. today, there was a gigantic crowd, had to be at least 200,000, they whole event was great and the message was one that we should all pay heed too. Jon Stewart for President 2012! They have clips of almost the whole rally on the comedy Central website now, check it out at... www.comedycentral.com/shows/rally_to_restore_sanity_and_o...

We're making our own tv show as a spoof of the office. We're calling it 'The Faculty'. About the interrelations of school teachers too caught up in their own drama to care about the moldable minds they're endangering.

I was standing near the Austrian and Swiss teams when Colbert came up. I don't know if they had any idea who Colbert was, but they seemed extremely amused by the stuffing of his spandex.

Often, comedians shine the light of truth upon our lives, behaviors and activities. As well, in that process, we also have a proverbial mirror held up to ourselves, to allow us to see ourselves for what they really are - good, bad or indifferent - or to, as the poet said, "see ourselves as others see us." And that too, is a gift from a higher Power.
