This flower was just taken from a vase of flowers and held up to the sky for the shot.
Just a quick sharpen and contrast boost added and a little lens flare just for effect !
In case you are interested in what is going on here..... the original colours were dark stems against a pale blue sky. I didn't like the look of the dark stems - so I gave in did some heavy-handed processing instead of my standard Lightroom only routine. I don't have Photoshop, so I did this in Gimp.....split out the blue channel as a B&W image, inverted it and then added it on top a flat coloured deep indigo layer to add back some colour.

Thought the stems were very interesting with their hanging jewel like bits - somebody else will probably describe it more poetically than me :-)
As I walked through the produce section, I stopped in amazement when I spotted the broccoli romanesque. I knew immediately that it was an example in nature of a fractal pattern.

Another shot of this tiny Ceutorhynch (Seed) Weevil that I posted a couple of weeks back. As I noted previously, you really get no idea how small they are from a photo, but believe me when I say it was no more than 3mm long.

"Blanket Flower Stem" by Patti Deters. A single Indian Blanket flower (Gaillardia pulchella) dares to bloom in a sea of green, a beacon of color against the muted blurred background. Its fiery hues seem to dance in the sunlight, a reminder of nature's vibrant palette. This wildflower is a striking blend of yellow and red petals that are pinked (pinnatifid) on the edges atop a tall perfectly straight stem. Ontspannen stemming op de brug over de Naviglio Pavese in Milaan, met een passerende tram van lijn 10.
Met de komst van deze nieuwe tramlijn in november 2015 is de opheffing van ringlijn 29/30 - de Circonvallazione - in 2010 in feite teruggedraaid. Lijn 10 doet het westelijke deel van de ring met trams Tipo 1928 en lijn 9 het oostelijke deel met de korte versie van de lagevloertrams, de Sirietto.
De trams van dit type vieren over enkele jaren hun negentigste verjaardag in actieve dienst. Van de ruim 500 exemplaren zijn er nog meer dan 100 over. Ze rijden op zes van de achttien stadstramlijnen in Milaan. Sommige wagens kregen een dakreclame in oude stijl, in dit geval voor het kopen van tramkaartjes met je smartphone

The introduction of route 10 in November 2015 meant more or less the reinstatement of circular service 29/30 - the Circonvallazione - closed in 2010. Route 10 serves the western part of the ring with these trams Tipo 1928, while the 9 service does the eastern part with the short version of the articulated low floor trams called Sirietto.
The trams of this type will celebrate their 90th anniversary in active service within a few years. Of the more than 500 cars built, over 100 are left today.
