Currently, a network of zip lines are being added over these falls which will give the thrill seeker a wild ride over this valley...should be fun, and it will make for some interesting photo ops.

Still raining here today. It barely stopped all day yesterday and last night, but it is light, steady rain. This will be good for the gardens. This was taken with my 28-70 mm lens and the 36 mm Kenko extension tube.

The Dinorwic quarry also known as Dinorwig quarry) is a large former slate quarry, now home to the Welsh National Slate Museum, located between the villages of Llanberis and Dinorwig in North Wales. It was[when?] the second largest slate quarry in Wales, indeed in the world, after the neighbouring Penrhyn quarry near Bethesda.

It covered more than 700 acres (283 ha) consisting of two main quarry sections with 20 galleries in each and a number of ancillary workings. Extensive internal tramway systems connected the quarries using inclines to transport slate between galleries

Hold Steady Luminar

When driving by this field, it struck me how very golden in color it appeared. The fence was used a foreground element, while I waited for the whitest of clouds to position itself in the sky. While waiting for that to happen car after car slowed to see what I was looking at. Although a very rural area, it had suddenly become mildly busy.

When out shooting for the most part, those who ask do not see what it is that has my attention. When I tell them, they look with a puzzled gaze, until after a minute or two they say, "now I see it". Sometimes, slow and steady does win the race. On the other hand, since there is no race, simply enjoying the activity can also be its own reward. In this shot, a red combine or tractor would have added to the result.

..and not moving. still dealing with the busy schedule..geeesshh!

A cold, wintry view of a small old home with a porch and a nice old oak standing steady with the old house. I know you can see these old houses everywhere, but I still like finding them, that's the fun.

Is this the start of our spring thaw? On Feb 18, these same falls looked like THIS

Greta then grabbed her camera quickly to take a shot of her new Licca playset...

The race is on! HBM! :-)))

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

Mark is seen adding a little scale as he approaches the remote summit of Beinn Liath Mhor.

A much needed slow, steady rain is falling over eastern Washington as a Hinkle bound train heads south on Union Pacific's Washy Line near Ankeny, WA. Our several hour interlude in the rain at Ankeny netted two UP trains, along with several ghost trains on the parallel SP&S right of way.

A little bit before the battery ran out. Since AirFrance lost our luggage, the charger was somewhere in Cairo, but we managed it anyways.

Funny to see that now Egypt is in the past and I dont have to consider it everytime there is holidays.

Not a Condor Convoy, but a 6-exposure photomontage with aligned background, showing one bird in 6 positions. (Mouse over to see them labelled.) Pretty sure this is a California Condor,

Gymnogyps californianus, because 1) they have been released here to extend their range; and 2) a Turkey Vulture would not have exhibited such rock-steady flight. I have a 7-exposure convoy, which needs a 6:1 aspect ratio. May post the farewell shot separately.

California condor (Gymnogyps californianus) is a New World vulture and the largest North American land bird. It became extinct in the wild in 1987 when all remaining wild individuals were captured, but has since been reintroduced to northern Arizona and southern Utah (including the Grand Canyon area and Zion National Park), the coastal mountains of California, and northern Baja California in Mexico. A Christmas night capture of the Waxing Crescent. I decided to push the stabilisation of the Sony 200-600mm G to the limit by shooting this completely handheld.

The 61MP sensor on the A7R IVA is notoriously unforgiving with camera shake, but the OSS (Optical SteadyShot) paired with a steady hand kept the lunar terminator and craters like Mare Crisium tack-sharp.

Secure in its trainer's arms this horse and trainer await the next sept in the quarter horse competition.

The bonding is amazing and must be close in order for all commands to be understand and followed.

In keeping with my challenge of showing the emotion and excitement found at the State Fair this certainly expresses one of the many situations that exist.

The wind whipping at the beach makes it difficult for this Black Saddlebags dragonfly to hold on to the sea grass.

This Yellow-headed Blackbird found this rock a lot steadier than a cattail in the blowing wind.

From my garden, Ferns to Flickr. They are steadily unfolding and now's the perfect time to get some macro shots.

November 2021 at the Imperial Sand Dunes. This day was on another level. It was hard to hold the camera steady.
