There comes a point at which people want to be involved in the making of decisions about lockdown and other infringements of freedom. They want to be asked.

Happy Caturday! 🐱🐱🐱💗

For today's Happy Caturday's Theme

Where do you find your cat when you wake up in the morning?

This morning, I walked into the living room to find this.

"When you are old and grey and full of sleep," but sleep slips away, and the little ones sleep without a care, all comfy and cozy, in your favorite spot.

Early morning and rain, what to do, sleep, well, at least for two: isn't time for breakfast yet.

And our old boy, Karson, well, he gets to snoop.

Can't go out and too cold to work in the yard, so...

In these rough, uncertain times

Exposure: f5.6 120 seconds

Location: IWay construction site, Providence RI

Date: August 28, 2007 8:45pm

Notes: Shot with Nikon F100 with Sigma 15mm on Fuji 160C

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The usual crew of threshold, rizzolo, skazama and rtlm401 came out to Providence to shoot the IWAY before it's impending opening of the Rte-195 East Bound lanes in November.

I set up my tripod halfway on the dirt road in the backside of the construction site and before the new on ramp from 195W to 95S. I was standing just off frame out of view when I opened the shutter on a timer controlled remote.

A construction pick up truck drove off the bridge and decided to drive down this patch of road but slowed as he neared my rig in the road. He was going really slow at this point (not to mention lighting up my expsoure) probably wondering what the hell was in the road.

Well I stepped out to save my gear shielding my eyes as I looked directly at the truck. As the worker drove by to turn around, I thought about bolting but thought better and just set my rig back up in the same location and prepared to take another shot. The guy came by and asked me what I was photographing - "... beautiful night sky and IWAY progress", I told him... he was like "Okay" and drove off.

Lesson learned from previous night shoots... remain calm and try not to bolt around hiding... that'll just attract attention and the fuzz! If you are obvious in what you do, then people will usually ignore you.

After finishing the film in my F100 and Holga I allowed the D200 to come out and play. That wasn't until 11pm and the "Late Nighters" stayed until 1:20am... man was beat the next day. See the D200's "Busted-Less" version much later that evening.

You can see a group pool here of all our shots on Flickr from the night or a slick slideshow here. It may take a week or so for all the shots to be posted.

Keep Calm and Carry On is a motivational poster produced by the British government in 1939, several months before the beginning of the Second World War, intended to raise the morale of the British public in the aftermath of widely predicted mass air attacks on major cities.

So I'm debating if/when I should get pro for Flickaahh.

What are the pros to having pro anyway?

Hope everyone enjoyed their hump day (:

Artwork on a Petaluma warehouse. Lots of clever and talented folks in this town. And I love public art (usually).
