Dilkea Ashestri was the successor of a centuries-old agriculture enterprise based on Arteyn. With his inherent status, he acquired a taste for the finer things in life and was a passionate collector especially keen on the High Republic-era artefacts. One of his most praised pieces was a Jedi Vector starfighter which he lovingly uses as his leisure craft. With Imperial occupation and privatisation of his company, he was certain there could be wait no longer and just financing the alliance was not enough and joined Rebels himself. He was ace at business strategy but not wartime. What he did know inside and out was his Vector starfighter which he modified for superior performance with an additional thruster and engine block, a pair of medium and one with light rapid-fire laser cannons, a class 0.85 hyperdrive and overall top standard modern tech. Instead of the second pilot, he modified an under-canopy droid slot for his R3 unit which he is faithful to keep pristine. With this untraditional load out, integrating into any existing squadron was most challenging, but then there was one...

immerssion dans le monde du logement social, l'univers des logements sociaux, des H.B.M au H.L.M - Retour sur l'histoire du logement collectif d'apres guerre - En Françe, sur l’ensemble du territoire avant, 4 millions d’immeubles étaient vétustes, dont 500.000 à démolir; au total 10% des logements étaient considérés comme insalubres et 40% réputés d’une qualité médiocre, et surpeuplés. C’est pour ces raisons que, à partir de 1954, le Ministre à la Reconstruction et au Logement évalue le besoin en logements à 2.000.660, devenant ainsi une priorité nationale. Quelques années plus tard à l’appel de l’Abbé Pierre, le journaliste Gilbert Mathieu, en avril 1957 publiait dans le quotidien Le Monde une série d’articles sur la situation dramatique du logement : Logement, notre honte et dénonçant le nombre réduit de logements et leur impitoyable état. Robert Doisneau, Banlieue après-guerre, 1943-1949 /Le mandat se veut triple : reconstruire le parc immobilier détruit durant les bombardements essentiellement du printemps/été 1944, faire face à l’essor démographique et enfin résorber l’habitat insalubre notamment les bidonvilles et les cités de transit. Une ambition qui paraît, dès le début, très élevée, associée à l’industrialisation progressive de la nation entre autre celle du secteur de la construction (voir le vidéo de l’INA du 17 juillet 1957 intitulée La crise du logement, un problème national. Cela dit, l’effort pour l’État français était d’une ampleur jamais vue ailleurs. La double nécessité de construire davantage et vite, est en partie la cause de la forme architecturale excentrique qui constituera les Grands Ensembles dans les banlieues françaises. Cinq caractéristiques permettent de mieux comprendre ce terme : la rupture avec le tissu urbain ancien, un minimum de mille logements, une forme collective (tours, barres) de quatre jusqu’à vingt niveaux, la conception d’appartements aménagés et équipés et enfin une gestion destinée pour la plupart à des bailleurs de logement social.
Pour la banlieue parisienne leur localisation s’est opérée majoritairement dans la périphérie, tandis que dans les autres cas, plus de la moitié a été construite dans le centre ville, le plus souvent à la limite des anciens faubourgs.

C’est le triomphe de l’urbanisme fonctionnel et rationaliste cher à Le Corbusier. Entre 1958 et 1973, cent quatre-vingt-quinze Zones à Urbaniser en Priorité (ZUP) sont créées, comprenant deux millions de logements, essentiellement de type populaire en Habitations à Loyer Modéré (HLM), mais pas exclusivement, remplaçant ainsi les anciennes Habitations à Bon Marché (HBM) crées en 1894. Selon le décret du 27 mars 1954 qui en fixe les conditions d’attribution, les bénéficiaires de la législation n’ont pas changé, ce sont toujours des « personnes peu fortunées vivant principalement de leur salaire », selon la loi Strauss de 1906. En 1953, tous les HLM voient leur surface maximale se réduire, en passant de 71 à 65 mètres carrés pour un quatre pièces. L’accès au logement des familles modestes se fera donc au détriment de la qualité et quantité de l’espace habité pour des familles nombreuses. À ce propos, le sociologue Thierry Oblet a bien montré comment se sont articulées les pensées des architectes et des ingénieurs modernistes, avec leur souci planificateur d’un État interventionniste[8] grâce à l’hégémonie du béton, de la ligne droite et de la standardisation de la construction.
Les exemples de cette architecture restent nombreux : de la Cité de 4000 (pour 4000 logements) à la Courneuve en Seine-Saint-Denis (93) aux logements de 15 étages aux balcons pétales, appelés « Chou-fleur » à Créteil en Val-de Marne (94) dessinés au début des années 70 par l’architecte Gérard Grandval. De la Cité des nuages à Nanterre dans les Hauts-de-Seine (92) à la Grande borne construite entre 1967 et 1971 sur le territoire des communes de Grigny et Viry-Châtillon, dans l’Essonne (91) en passant par la Noé à Chanteloup-les-Vignes dans le département des Yvelines (78) scénario du célèbre film La Haine[9] de Kassovits.
Récemment, plusieurs expositions photographiques se sont
concentrées sur cette nouvelle figure de l’urbanisme fonctionnaliste français de l’après-guerre. Par exemple Toit&Moi, 100 ans de logement social (2012), Les Grands ensembles 1960-2010 (2012) produite par l’école supérieure d’arts & médias de Caen/Cherbourg, selon un projet du Ministère de la Culture et de la Communication. Enfin l’exposition Photographie à l’œuvre, (2011-2012) d’Henri Salesse, photographe du service de l’inventaire du Ministère de la Reconstruction et de l’Urbanisme et Voyage en périphérie (2012) de Cyrus Cornut.
Il s’agissait là non seulement d’un progrès matériel, mais aussi démocratique, donnant ainsi à chaque citoyen, la possibilité d’accéder à son petit appartement doté de tous les conforts de l’époque. La recherche d’économie et de rapidité dans la conduite des chantiers portent à l’utilisation du béton comme matériel privilégié et à des plans architecturaux aussi simples que possible avec la réalisation de logements standardisés, dont les barres et les tours deviennent les figures principales : Au mitan des années cinquante, apparurent d’étranges formes urbaines. Des immeubles d’habitation de plus en plus longs et de plus en plus hauts, assemblés en blocs qui ne s’intégraient pas aux villes existantes. Ces blocs s’en différenciaient ostensiblement et parfois comme systématiquement, s’en isolaient. Ils semblaient faire ville à part. Surtout ils ne ressemblaient pas à ce qu’on avait l’habitude d’appeler ville. Et leur architecture aussi, qui était tellement déroutante. On les a nommés » grands ensembles. Bref, entre 1946 et 1975 le parc immobilier français passe de 12,7 millions à 21 millions de logements. Le nombre de logements sociaux passe de moins de 500.000 à près de 3 millions, dont 43 % en région parisienne, où la demande est la plus forte[11]. Ce qui témoigne d’un effort énorme. Celui-ci met un terme à la politique initiée après-guerre afin « d’empêcher la réalisation des formes d’urbanisation désignées généralement sous le nom de “grands ensembles”, peu conforme aux aspirations des habitants et sans justification économique sérieuse ». Paradoxalement, le terme de grands ensembles s’officialise donc au moment même où ils son mis en question. ZUP est un acronyme qui signifie Zone à Urbaniser en Priorité. Elles ont été créées par le décret N°58-1464 du 31 décembre 1958, afin de planifier et d’encadrer sur le territoire national, le développement urbain pour répondre à la carence de logements face à l’accroissement démographique et favoriser enfin la résorption de l’habitat insalubre. The beginnings of Lenau City Stockerau, the largest city of the wine district, go back to the 11th Century. 1012 Stockerowe for the first time is mentioned, as near to it saint Koloman, an Irish pilgrim, as supposed Hungarian spy was hanged on a tree. At the not far from the place erected church arose a parish. The area belonged to the bishops of Regensburg, which as a fief passed it on to the owner of the castle stone cross (Kreuzenstein). In the 13th Century Stockerau became princely and 1465 it was raised into the status of a market town, who in 1514 by Maximilian I received a coat of arms and a seal.
Since the 14th Century existed between Stockerau and Korneuburg a rivalry for trade on the Danube and in the wine district. 1327 both locations had received significant commercial benefits, but the Stockerauer Niederlagsprivileg (staple privilege) for wine, wood and grain was canceled. Korneuburg could therefore in the following years all trade on the left bank of the Danube between Krems and Vienna draw to itself. Despite repeated sieges and destructions in the 15th Century by the Hussites, Bohemian and Hungarian troops could Stockerau from the 16th century itself positioning as an attractive trading center for the wine district, while the old "rival" by the silting up of an arm of the Danube and the construction of the bridge over the Danube at Vienna (1439 ) long-term economic losses suffered. In the 17th Century Stockerau won the competition as a market, could itself buy free in 1749, and was now itself rule. The conveniently situated trading place from the second half of the 18th Century became an important industrial center. The boom began with textile factories, additionally came in the 19th Century chemical factories (stearin, candles, chemical dyeing), food production (vinegar, soda water) and machine factories.
Expression of self-consciousness of the emerging market in modern times is the in 1738 to town hall converted castle Puchheim, which received a magnificent Baroque facade and in which also the magazines for the economically important salt trade were housed. In the 18th Century the parish church got its 88 meter high tower (1722-1725). After the demolition of the Gothic nave 1777/1778 it was rebuilt by Peter Mollner as late Baroque and early Classicist hall church. Around the same time, the sculptor Bernhard Schilcher created the monumental, space-dominant Pietà Group (1762). 1893 Stockerau became a town and it is today industrial, transport and school site in the district as well as with the annual summer Festival part of the varied cultural scene of Lower Austria.
Very closely connected with Stockerau was the poet Nikolaus Lenau, who grew up here after the death of his father with his grandparents and later often stayed with them. His famous "Schilflieder (reed songs)" originated in the ambience of the Danube floodplains. On him reminds a memorial stone and the in 1962 by the City donated Lenaupreis.

The play was performed by the Pacific Okinawa Players, Oct. 15-17 and 22-24. POPs is a community theater group that performs multiple productions throughout the year. The group is comprised of volunteers of all ages under the Status of Forces agreement and directs ticket sales and donations toward the costs of productions as well as scholarship funds for students pursuing performing arts. Waterbird challenge 2012
Finally after having to constantly rebuild it's nest because of the rising water levels this coot now has at least four chicks in it. This is the third attempt after the first two nests were washed away. As well as feeding itself it is continuously taking weed back to it's family.
UPDATE: 27 July 2012 There are 5 tiny Coot chicks and both parents are feeding them on the water under the cover of overhanging trees.

Story
Every day, mother of five Juliet Titirach makes a steep decent to a stream that flows from the Congo through her village in Kubi, northern Uganda to fill a 20-litre jerry can with water. The rocky walk home uphill with 20 litres of water takes about 15 minutes, and there is no protection from the harsh daytime sun. She occasionally pauses to wipe away beads of sweat trickling from her face to her worn out white t-shirt, adjusting the jerry can on her head as she continues up the slope.
To have sufficient water to drink, cook, clean and feed her milk-yielding cows, Juliet must make this journey three times a day.
“I need to make three trips here and one more trip to a protected spring with safer water for drinking, which is about 7km away. On average, I need 70 litres of water every day – half of which is for my cows,” says Juliet who received the cows, hygiene and improved farming training from Send A Cow Uganda.
While this amount of water meets her household needs and allows her to keep her cows healthy, irrigating the farmland she works on with her husband Bernad is a much greater challenge. With the profits they make from farming, Juliet and Bernad have been able to send their children to school, improve their home and even save. But if there is not enough water to irrigate, then those gains stand to be lost.
They are preparing the land for the planting season, but in recent years there has been less rainfall than before.
“We dug contours in our gardens to prevent soil erosion and collect water whenever it rains, but before long the plants lack water. Water is a big challenge. We are thinking of how we can harvest more water but we are not sure of other options,” says Juliet’s husband Bernad.
Just like for Juliet, water is at the core of women’s activities in this region, women spend their days between the gardens and collecting water for cooking, cleaning, drinking, giving the animals and maintaining sanitation.
Juliet mentions that her life and that of her family has improved a lot since receiving the hygiene training, better farming methods and the cow from Send A Cow Uganda. She however expresses the need of improving water harvesting and storage which she believes is key to achieving all they have put in plan.
With Oxfam, Send A Cow Uganda (SACU) is working in West Nile and Gulu sub-districts to support farmer groups and also carry out disaster risk reduction work. SACU not only makes sure communities learn about how to make their land more fertile, but they also teach health and hygiene and support them in developing business skills. Send A Cow Uganda works with the “pass it on” principle. Help received by families, whether it’s in the form of a cow, the first calf has to be passed on to the next beneficiary. This supports feelings of community and creates a social network. Families are reporting increased income from harvests, reason they are able to send their children to school, cooperation of the husbands, improved hygiene and health.
