Size of the node represent the "betweenness" of each player. That is it represents how the ball-flow between other players depends on that particular player.

33 Painfully True Facts About Everyday Life

Danish writer Mikael Wulff and cartoon artist Anders Morgenthaler

the creative duo known as 'Wumo' has created a brilliant series

of graphs that illustrate some of the basic painful truths of

everyday life in the Western world.

Their graphs and diagrams are snarky and sarcastic but, for the

most part, true. This, coupled with their simple and official-looking

design, makes them a delight to look at.

On the heels of a series of student research presentations at the International Conference for Population and Development (ICPD 25) Summit in Nairobi, Kenya has committed to strengthen its production of gender data. The commitments were announced at a dedicated side event on 14 November, entitled “Gender Statistics as a Critical Agenda for Sustainable Development”, which was hosted by UN Women, the University of Nairobi and Kenya’s National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS).

I recently went back and deleted most of the photos on my iPhone, but here is a visualization of the 266 photos that remain. Interesting stuff.

Auto-generated with the amazing PhotoStats app on the iPhone. Wish there was something that did a similar analysis of my Flickr photostream...the default Flickr stats seem dull by comparision.

Our furthest training walk yet, and with the most ascending.

A note about the apparent 17.1 degrees temperature. The watch is not the best judge of temperature as I think it's thermometer is on the bottom next to my wrist, therefore the temperature it is measuring is that of my wrist. Normally it is around 25 degrees.

I should be really happy about reaching another statistical milestone,

maybe busting out some more orbage or rainbows, or drawing it on a

beach while the GoPro shoots from above.

But.... I'm downright miserable. Rounds off the worst week for many

months. Hopefully, I'll look back in the future and wonder WTF was

ever the problem.

Monster of a stats test. Okay. Actually not so bad with the amount of studying I put in this week. I think I did pretty decent.

I enjoy doing math for a change. It's difficult, but good for my brain.

I don't know what this thing is. Have you seen it around?
