Wing Stuart Simm sprints along touchline at Arnold Clark Park as Rylands attack Waterhead in the Third Division of amateur rugby league's Kingstone Press Cider National Conference League. Sharks, 34-6 ahead at the break, won 64-18 to move three points clear of Dewsbury Moor, West Bowling and Stanningley. The try count finished 11-3. Sharks played all but five minutes of the second half a man down following a red card for fighting.
Sharks' ground in Warrington is part of Rylands Recreation Club, a large site also accommodating bowls and football. Originally, the recreation club was the works sports ground of Rylands Bros., defunct manufacturers of wire. It used to be said: "If you don't work at Rylands, you don't live in Warrington."

About
These large jellyfish swarm in warmer coastal waters in late Spring and often wash up on our beaches in May or June, sometimes in their hundreds. They can grow to the size of dustbin lids - giving them their other common name: dustbin-lid jellyfish or the frilly-mouthed jellyfish.They are attracted inshore by plankton blooms which provide a plentiful supply of food. They have 8 arms, each frilly in appearance. These frills actually contain their small stinging tentacles which surround hundreds of little mouths!
The sting of the barrel jellyfish is not normally harmful to humans, though if you find one on the beach it's best not to handle it as they can still sting when dead.
How to identify
A large translucent jellyfish with a huge mushroom shaped bell and a bunch of 8 frilly tentacles below. They don't have marginal tentacles, but do have a violet fringe around the bell which contains sense organs. They are often found washed up on beaches in May and June.

Most religious things reminds me of my mother’s side of the family.
My mom grew up in a family that was religious. There were tails of a family member who would wake up in the middle of surgery to stop from having a pigs heart valve inserted against their will, to the story of her great aunt who was shoot and killed on a train during the division of Pakistan from India where her voice travelled in the wind to tell her parents she was no longer part of this earth. Her parents were travelling by wagon with all their belongs to their new home. It never felt surreal to hear these stories about what religious devotion looked like until I went to school and no other child told such stories about their family.
She, herself, never wained from religion, but only varied in depths of her religiosity as she spent time learning from different people about what religion meant to her. In the end she was deeply religious. I appreciated growing up learning about God, our religion to the depths we did, along with other religions — she encouraged our exploration into all faiths.
My mom always thought I was atheist. It’s not that I didn’t believe God existed, I know God is there, I just didn’t want them interfering in my life and having life lessons be justified in that context. The only thing I can say is that I believe God is God and the Devil, and what makes ‘em perfect is the complete control over both sides and not binging on a pint of ice cream on weekends because they are that in ‘control.’ Haha. I digress.
I miss ‘talking’ religion with my core group these days.

The original Wetherby RUFC were founded in 1934. Five years later, on the outbreak of World War Two, they disbanded. The Reds were not re-formed until 1966. Initially, they played at Kiln Lane, Kirk Deighton (a village north of the town), before relocating to Losh Plot Lane, east of Kirk Deighton. Widening of the A1 prompted another move, to Grange Park. Two pitches were officially opened in 1989 at this site, south of the town, adjacent to the Wharfe. The rugby club have a third share in Grange Park Sports Club with Wetherby Cricket Club and Kirk Deighton Rangers Junior Football Club. Wetherby Bowling Club, offering crown and flat green versions of their game, also use the site. In recent seasons, Wetherby have surged up the rugby union pyramid, winning promotion from Yorkshire Five to Yorkshire Two. The Reds secured back-to-back Yorkshire Four and Three titles in 2015 and 2016. This success featured a 59-game unbeaten run (56 wins, three draws), spanning February 2014 and April 2016. Buxton ended the sequence with a 13-7 victory in a Junior Vase semi-final. Wetherby celebrate their 50th anniversary during the 2016-17 season by playing at the highest level in their history.
