"Whatever they say, the youth house stays!" A building that has been occupied for years on Nørrebro by radical youngsters is constantly under pressure from the local authorities. All I say is that Nørrebro would lose some of it's flavour if it were to be closed.
Students at Georgetown University are staging a hunger strike in protest of the low compensation/benefits given to the university's workers (e.g., janitors). They are camped out near the student union demanding wage increases to meet the minimum living wage in the District of Columbia ($14.93/hour). As of 3-23-05, the students have been on a hunger strike for 9 days. - Washington, DC
