The people who help make the 2014 Ag Build possible! Thank you for your leadership and support of this unique project.

I'm a lumberjack and I'm okay

I sleep all night and I work all day

I cut down trees, I eat my lunch

I go to the lavat'ry

On Wednesdays I go shopping

And have buttered scones for tea

Well, you know how it goes... :)

(With apologies to Monty Python)

Today we tackled the state fair -- and man, were we beat by the time we were done. We *tasted* onion rings, honey ice cream, the peaches and cream parfait, fried green tomatoes (awesome!), corn fritters, fresh pineapple pina colada, and cheese curds. I also witnessed the eating of a scotch egg (hard-boiled egg wrapped in sausage, breaded and deep fried) and a deep-fried cheeseburger (yes, the bun was included). So yeah. Our arteries are officially clogged.

But at the end of our day, we made it down to the animal barns. Oh, how I love seeing the crazy chickens and the goats. These guys always give me great poses, and I love those eyes. They remind me of Shrek.

Goat competition

Last of my State Fair photos I've chosen to post. The crowds were low - I would have liked a whole mess of sliders at once for this picture... but sometimes you need to take what you can get.

If you want to go to see these animals go to the Kansasstatefair child play zoo.

Stare into the eyes of Big Tex and DESPAIR!
