Handheld @ F1.4. It's not sharp, but I like it more than some of the tripod shots I took.

.........would be to draw attention to the sign in the background and this state trooper's (city policeman's?) ears. Let's not. These guys do a really good job without enough pay. State budget is fighting a deficit and things are not going to get better any time soon. I just liked his pose with the kids in the background.

More from State Fairs long past, the ones before political correctness...

Another state fair photo. This is part of a fun house type of thing. The kids had a hard time keeping their balance on this. There seems to be some confusion about what it is (Pat!) It is a wobbly bridge between one part of the fun house and another. Kids stand on the wooden steps and kind of hold on to the mesh and walk across.

I have figured out why my photos keep getting corrupted....and there is a fix. I just have to make it happen. This image survived. The one of the baby chicken hatching...gone. :)
