Startup Weekend Des Moines is a community building startup event. Participants get together with local developers, marketers, designers, enthusiasts and start companies in just 54 hours.
The participants that attend a Startup Weekend decide what they want to tackle over the weekend and come out at the end with several developed companies or projects. Attendees are responsible for bringing the same desire and passion to the project and walk out of the room with the task at hand, in a short 54 hours. Sound intense? It is.
This year Spindustry Strategy hosted the event at their offices. Many thanks to Spindustry Strategy for providing space for the weekend and all the hard work by Shane Reiser for organizing the event.

Tech Cocktail's Los Angeles Mixer and Startup Showacase was held at Cross Campus on Thursday, September 5th 2013. The event was great success in part of our local partners Girls in Tech - LA, Startup UCLA, and Developer Week. It was a great evening with our local tech startups including: 360Candidate, Aisle Planner, BandAid, Clutter, Film This, Fingertip Maestro, Jabid, Inc., PlanetNow, SocialTagg, Tapshare and Tengrade.
Each of these Startups competed in the "Hottest Startup Competition" for a spot to demo at Tech Cocktail Celebrate and qualify for the chance to pitch on stage in front of 500+ attendees in Las Vegas Oct 23-25 -http://celebrate.tech.co/ Congratulations to 360Canidate and SocialTagg for winning "LA's Hottest Startup!" See you in Las Vegas!
