Aveuch was kind enough to send me this complete attire a few months ago.
It took so long to arrive, but then again, when it did I was so busy with school, I couldn't shoot it until now.
I liked how it looked on the ghouls (as it was supposed to be for MH), but I loved how Bre showcased it! So here it is.
Aveuch, you're just incredibly talented! Keep doing what you do. And everyone, you'd totally get some pieces from him. They're top notch. :3

Wo natürlich in Second Life!
I never really learned to see Eos as a suitable model for Kiseki's character so when my sister gave me her Pullip myselect Paja I knew the Paja would become my new Kiseki! I'm keeping my Pullip Eos too, but from now on this custom girl will carry the Eos' old name and character ^^
(I'm not too satisfied with Kiseki's face and will likely re-do the whole face up at some point but hey I finally got to try customising!!)
We are travelers on a cosmic journey, stardust, swirling and dancing in the eddies and whirlpools of infinity. Life is eternal. We have stopped for a moment to encounter each other, to meet, to love, to share.. (Paulo Coelho)

One of six installations during the event Lights in Alingsås 2011. Workshop head: Rafael Gallego, Spain.
"Life comprises duality and contrast, too! How beautiful nature is! Also on a macro-scale. All of us, and all things, are made of stardust. Everybody sharing the same energy. There is a little piece of heaven in this Christinae Curch."
Parish hall built 2003 (connected to Christinae Church built 1642-51).
Architect: Carl Nyrén (1917-2011). 4 sec exposure. 283/365
Another in my series of Lockwasher cameras - StarDust aptly named by my daughter Emma, for it's retro styled cabinet hardware which adorn the camera's face. She said it look like Las Vegas! I created this piece out of a grill manifold from a gas BBQ, a couple of 1/4" milled aluminum plates, vintage TV knob, a pair of '50's chrome crescent shaped drawer pulls, micro switch, perforated aluminum track light shade, finned heat sink, lamp finial, opera glasses sight, and optical lens from some kind of technical scanner. 15.5" wide x 8" tall by a mere 3.25" deep.
Stardust Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, 1961
All photos in the "Vintage Photos" section are reprints that I have purchased at various ephemera shows.
"Alright, Starduster, we've got one shot at this. If we don’t nail this jump, Destro and his goons will escape the island with the pizza."

The Stardust Memories is a Modified Prothon Yacht. Prothon Yachts are well known for being light, manuverable, reliable and capable of flying in both space and atmosphere. They are lightly armed with only two hyper laser cannons, and can transport as many as 25 people.
The Stardust Memories had a crew of 6, but could be operated with only one or two people. Its captain Travis Naluji was a former member of the Elite Guard before it was disbanded. He made a living as a trader and part time bounty hunter. He later joined the Liberators durring the corse of the war with the Terran Republic, and was charged with evacuating slaves from pirate smuggling posts prior to the Royal Fleet's attacks. Its first raid was conducted on SP#4 Star Jewel Station where they rescued 19 slaves. As the second smallest ship in the Liberators group, they were charged with raiding the smaller pirate bases in SP#5 Shipwreck Feild. Across 8 raids they rescued 152 people. Soon after they smuggled medical supplies to Shadow Point station to help the RHA insurgant group known as the Nightmares. They often returned with rescued slaves.
Years after the war their role was declassified, and the Stardust Memories as well as the other ships and crews of the Liberators were hailed as heros.
The Stardust Hotel went bust in 2006 but its sign sparkles and shines to this day in Las Vegas' Neon Museum. It is one of the most popular signs, along with the Lido de Paris which took up residency in the Stardust in 1958. The Lido featured topless showgirls and continued playing until 1991, one of the longest running shows in Vegas.

The Stardust sign is probably wondering why the powers that be knocked down a profitable resort in order to build a large concrete structure that has sat vacant for years and years to come. I bet they would like a mulligan on that one
Let me know what's wrong with above image and how to make it better? If you are the one who photograph this, how differently are you going to do it?

I don't know about you, but every time I see an old motel with a great creative sign, I get nostalgic--which is easy for me to do, as I don't ever recall staying in one. So I can imagine anything I want about these old motels. Of course I'm sure most of these places are now dingier and sketchier than they were back in their heyday of the 50s and 60s but I still say, sketchy or not, that there is something to be said about how wonderfully unique each old motel is. Yes, you (usually) know what you are getting with a chain motel but it's not quite as creative as the individual old motel. I can just see taking a road trip in your classic 1960 Cadillac De Ville and riding down the strip in a town with neon motel signs on each block just waiting for your to take your pick.
This motel sign is located in the beautiful mountain city of Bozeman, Montana. If you think about it, this hotel was likely built in the 50s or 60s--back
when Montana was still fairly "wild". Before all the celebrities and rich people with their log cabin homes moved in and there was a super 8 in every town. I'm sure these (at the time) new modern hotels were a sight for sore eyes to weary travelers coming from more "civilized" places :)
Something interesting to note is that what is now the Royal 7 Motel, used to be the Stardust motel back in the day. If you follow this link, you'll see a photo and some information about this old motel back in the 60s! (the entire website is great, by the way, it features old hotels in their heyday)
