Last build for Vignweek. I was able to combine two of my favorite themes for a Lord of the Rings + StarWars combo build. I’m really happy with how it turned out considering I built it all in one day.
Oh dear, I made life hard on myself today by using the gold side of the reflector instead of silver. Rookie mistake!! So I did my best to tone it down by adding some bluish textures but not really convinced that it helped. Also bummed with the sun flare, tough editing morning. Hope your day is going well.
If you squint, the cover picture could be an Imperial probe droid. Or maybe an FX series medical droid.
Blacksmith troopers are making Vader's new light saber by traditional method.

A little scene I threw together after i received my 332nd trooper! It's heavily inspired by David Hall (solidbrix studios) Mandalore. The figure uses waterslide decals from AV figures. They create some of the highest quality custom figures i have ever seen! Please check them out it you have a moment :) avfigures.com/
In my never-ending quest to mash things up, I thought it would be fun to mash Star Wars with Masters Of The Universe (it's called Masters Of The Stars). So here's Darth Skeletor with his ride, A-T-C-A-T!
Ufff! Finished! This was a really, really hard work! The construction time was about 4 weeks, many, many frustrating moments included. My children learned a lot of new words, loud words, bad words! :)
It's always bothered me that there is no signage on the Death Star. It's the size of a moon, it must have thousands of kilometres of corridors. How does anyone find their way around?
"Sir We've found the bomb its in the city center."
"Very good, stay hidden and wait for reinforcements"
"Negative sir the droids have activated the detonator we've got ten minutes until this entire city is blown to pieces"
"Bomb squad is en route, eta 5 minutes"
" Affirmative, we'll clear a path"
(blaster fire, clone screams)
"This is Falcon we've reached the bomb sight there is no sign of squad 3"
"Countdown shows 2 minutes left until the cities reduced to ashes"
Affirmative, approaching the bomb it appears to be unguarded."
"Proceed with caution"
" Affirmi...wait what was that...AMBUSH!"
(blaster fire coms go dead)
Falcon: "Stang, I should of known it was a trap, nothing would be that easy!"
Breaker: "Sir get to the bomb I'll cover you!"
(Falcon runs towards the bomb, rips off the access panel)
///Countdown\\\
5....
4....
3....
2....
kshkzzzzzzzz........
(the countdown stops as Falcon cuts the red wire)
Enjoy!
sorry about the bad photo quality
Soon it will be dark and the Insurgents will be on the move. His bucket's night will give him an edge. He relished these kinds of assignment.
I laughed too loud when BB-8 thumb up in the movie.

A ship (that is not technically a SHIP) that I have been revising for the past year. Finally got it right on the, um, third attempt, I think?
Built around the UCS Falcon's dish and airlocks for scale, I wanted to see what I could really do building vertically in a Star Wars style. I've had ideas in this direct for the better part of a decade, so it's great to finally get them all to coalesce.
She's unarmed, deliberately, since I thought guns would muck up the outline - and frankly, there should be more civilian ships in the genre. She has a full interior which I shall hopefully photograph next (possibly while standing on a chair!).
