The 10A was essentially a part route of the 10, running the same route as the 10 from Nottingham to Greythorn Drive in Wolds Estate, turning left into Queensbury Avenue and terminating on Stanhome Square.
The service ran every 20 minutes Monday to Saturday daytimes, with the 10 running every 20 minutes also through to Ruddington. This move proved unpopular, so the 10A was withdrawn and a 12 minute frequency was introduced on the full route of the 10.
949 gets set up for the last 10A journey of the day to Nottingham via West Bridgford Asda, seen here at Stanhome Square.
Damon got an awesome photo at the same time, and can be seen here:
Our vehicle up from Nottingham shortly before the axe falls on this service, we had to get a photo of a double decker laying over at Stanhome Square, a regular decker terminus up until 2001 with the 12 which ran the current 10A route into Nottingham, then pretty much the 13 route over to Beeston without the need to swap, giving folks in West Bridgford a direct bus to QMC!!
941 lays over at Stanhome Square in the Wolds Estate with one of the last ever 10As back to Nottingham via West Bridgford Asda and Trent Bridge. As of Monday, all 10s will once again go through to Ruddington with a slightly reduced frequency of every 12 minutes.

Cinch was a streak free window cleaner. They all say 'streak free', but the streaks are still there (LOL) I've since found another Cinch bottle that reads 'Spic N Span Cinch'. Don't know if it's older or newer than this one.
The Stanhome degreaser goes back to the late 70's. I remember the Stanley girl coming here and I bought it. I put it under the sink where it was promptly forgotten.
Here's the next photo that won't be seen after next week - 948 with a 10A on Stanhome Square. The service is being withdrawn next week as part of the network changes.
I found two bottles of Pine-Sol under the kitchen sink. The bottle on the left side is melted on the neck. I also found a bottle of Stanhome degreaser that shows some melting too.
"That's the power of Pine-Sol, baby"
I found this awesomely terrifying full can of "Stanley Moth Proofer" tucked in on a ledge in the back of a closet I was priming. The colors and quaintness are rad, the pesticideyness (terpene polychlorniates and petroleum distilates) are not.

CAUTION: Avoid inhalation or skin contact. If spray gets into eyes, flush with copious amounts of water. In case of contact with skin, was with soap and water. Do not spray on humans, warm-blooded animals, or vegetation. Remove children, food, pets, birds, and fish from area being treated. Do not wear clothing dampened by spray until dry. Avoid spraying on plastics because some types may be softened or damaged. Do not spray into or near open fire or flame. Do not smoke while spraying.

I like that you shouldn't get this stuff on your skin...but you're supposed to wear clothes sprayed down with it (also, in the instructions it actually encourages you to touch it: "Properly sprayed articles should be just moist to the touch.").
