This was the invitation to a going away party given by my friends when I left Steptoe & Johnson, a large DC law firm.
My speciality at work was regression analyses in employment class actions and my passion was punk and indie -- and early 80s DC was a great place to hear the music. I was working round the clock, travelling constantly, staying out late at clubs, and trying to be a decent father and husband. Not sure how well I did or how I survived.
Obviously, the artist (the young son of a close friend) didn't entirely get the distinction between glam/metal and hardcore punk.
And this is my life. Because I'm studying abroad in England this fall, I have to take a summer psych stats class. It was going to work out fine so that I could take it overseas, but then the professor that was going to be teaching all of the psychology classes decided not to go for some reason or another. So, here I am, when I could be working, going to the fair, or seeing friends.
Part of the full picture because, well, basically I'm going to be doing this for the rest of my life.
Yes, that is a badly drawn frequency distribution in the upper right. And Amy......I dare you to sign up for Calc next semester. =]
I got rained on 3 times on Tues, taught 3 h of stats which I dont't mind at all. It's very applied and the class this semester is actually great (sssshhh don't tell them I said that .... I am in EvilSue mode) and I think I have a mild cold - runny nose and a temp).
