macro mondays - Arrow
This is a Stand Up to Cancer pin badge that I have had for many years. I usually have it pinned to my purse.
For this week's theme I have placed it on the 1 inch (1.54cm) neck of a coloured bottle.
HMM!

Isn’t it funny how time doesn’t stop for anything?
It just keeps ticking, as we wish for even a five-minute break.
A break from feeling helpless,
A break from feeling impending doom,
A break from feeling broken.
What we wouldn’t give to turn back time,
when we feel like it’s running out.
How our entire soul aches,
for peace and understanding,
in our darkest time of sorrow.
Feel the hand on your shoulder,
as God endures the days with you
and gives you strength when you have none.
Hope now and fear later.
Hope now, that tomorrow will be a better day
and yesterday stays past.
God didn't promise days without sorrow,
laughter without sadness or sun without rain.
But God did promise strength for those who are weary,
comfort for the tears and light for the way.
And all who believe in his kingdom above,
He answers their faith with everlasting love.
An end to cancer is not far away,
It will be here someday... someday. Everything’s going to Be OK!!
TGIF and have a great weekend! :)
11th October 2014 - Spotted this view while i was photographing the 'Stand Up To Cancer' march on the front and couldn't resist taking a shot.
I'm definitely going to have to make a return trip with a tripod as this was handheld at 1600iso or maybe more and Canon is very weak at higher sensitivity settings...

After the shock and sadness of yesterday, it was perhaps appropriate that today in town, people were standing up to cancer.

Graham is cycling for Cancer Research UK and I met him whilst walking along the tow path near to Hillmorton. Graham has all his possessions with him and set off from Slough on his "The Endless Journey". His bike was laden with essentials and he carries all his electronic gadgets in plastic bags. By his own admission he had been know to fall into the canal. A talkative individual, we finally got around to me making a donation for him. Eventually we got to his page and made a donation. I think his journey will be slow and tedious as his bike and cart are wide. I passed him a bit later on my way back where he was repairing a puncture to his tyre. I wish him well and hope he gets to where he is going. The name is endless journey and I believe that is what he will be doing along the canals for Cancer Research.
