The Stairs
The Telefónica Foundation Space in the Telefónica Building, the group's historic headquarters in Madrid's Gran Vía, is part of the comprehensive rehabilitation project of this emblematic skyscraper (1930) by Ignacio de Cárdenas, considered one of the architectural jewels of the beginning of the century XX.
The project, coordinated by Fundación Telefónica and the study of Arquitectura Arquitectura, has restored and put value to the original industrial architecture of the building, creating functional and multipurpose spaces that will welcome the technological and artistic heritage of the Foundation, as well as debate and reflection On communication and culture of the 21st century.
La Escalera
El Espacio Fundación Telefónica en el Edificio Telefónica, histórica sede del Grupo en la Gran Vía madrileña, forma parte del proyecto de rehabilitación integral de este emblemático rascacielos (1930) de Ignacio de Cárdenas, considerado una de las joyas de la arquitectura de principios del siglo XX.
El proyecto, coordinado por Fundación Telefónica y el estudio Quanto Arquitectura, ha restaurado y puesto en valor la arquitectura industrial original del edificio, creando los espacios funcionales y polivalentes que acogerán el patrimonio tecnológico y artístico de la Fundación, así como el debate y la reflexión sobre la comunicación y la cultura del siglo XXI.

Walking up the stairs to a temple in Osaka, Japan. Actually, when I got the top of the stairs I was asked to leave because it was the exit. Even though it was a free temple, they really don't like people entering the exit even though there was only a handful of visitors. So I went around the other way (didn't bother me) and saw the same dude ten minutes later and he bowed to me. Nice guy!

Well, curiously, the stairs themselves are concrete !! set in a very woodsy environment, so "no one will notice". There's a popular natural aesthetic in Berkeley, and when you cover your house with shingles . . . . . .

Visited Masonic Lodge (Freemasons) at their Open house day. Two members asked if they could take a portrait of me at the stairs. Once that was done they suggested to take one for me too, so I let him use my camera.
