When I looked at this shot it reminded me of a stage set for a musical, or for a modern production of an opera. The guys look more ready to burst into song than to get back to work!
On another day, on the same trip, on the inside of the big curve at Racey East, Quebec, we get a set of three Canadian Pacific "bigs" and a "medium"(M), providing the symphony of MLW song for the local farmers. What a sight it is as the run nearly 180 degrees around me! Just like a gigantic arched stage in the fields!
Central stigma surrounded by pollen bearing anthers, a spring crocus (Pulsatilla patens ssp. multifida) flower.
I went out to shoot insects but ended up shooting flowers instead.
I liked this image because each of the blooms on these Prairie Cone flowers is in a different stage of blooming.

It is true a stage line linked Silver City and Mogollon, New Mexico in the late 1800's. But I imagine this is a tourist trap re-creation of the stage stop. Looks great, I think.

Though the scenery along Lake Superior is beautiful in this old mining village, the lupines take centre stage in this image.
"This night is sparkling, don't you let it go
I'm wonderstruck, blushing all the way home
I'll spend forever wondering if you knew
I was enchanted to meet you too.”
