Der Gardasee (italienisch Lago di Garda oder Bènaco), einer der oberitalienischen Seen, ist der größte See Italiens, benannt nach der Gemeinde Garda am Ostufer. Sein antiker Name lautete von etwa 200 v. Chr. bis 800 n. Chr. Lacus benacus. Der Name soll von einer alten Gottheit namens Benacus abstammen.
Malcesine ist eine norditalienische Gemeinde am Ostufer des Gardasees in der Provinz Verona mit 3689 Einwohnern (Stand 31. Dezember 2019).
Malcesine wird häufig als „Perle des Gardasees“ bezeichnet. Mit diesem Begriff werden jedoch oft auch andere Orte wie Riva del Garda oder Limone sul Garda in Verbindung gebracht. Der Ort ist stark vom Tourismus geprägt.
Besigheim is a municipality in the district of Ludwigsburg in Baden-Württemberg in southern Germany.
It's situated approximately 13 km north of Ludwigsburg at the confluence of the Neckar and Enz rivers. The town has many old buildings that stretch along the Enz river and a town hall shown here sitting on top of the hill to the right that dates back to 1459.

Sie ist Hauptstadt der gleichnamigen Provinz, Industriestadt und Verkehrsknotenpunkt. Die Stadt besitzt eine Universität, eine islamische Hochschule sowie antike und mittelalterliche Bauten wie die Statue des römischen Kaisers Konstantin und den Ahmed-Bey-Palast.
Die Altstadt befindet sich auf einem mächtigen, 650 m über dem Meeresspiegel gelegenen Plateau, das nur über einen schmalen Rücken von Südwesten her zugänglich ist, aber nach Nordwesten steil abfällt und nach Norden und Westen durch die mehr als 100 m tiefe Schlucht des Flusses Rhumel von dem gegenüberliegenden Plateau Sidi M’Cid abgeschnitten wird.
Der Fluss Rhumel hat sich nicht in den Kalkfelsen eingeschnitten, sondern hat in vorgeschichtlicher Zeit einen Weg unter dem Felsen hindurch gefunden. Die Schlucht entstand, als die Decke dieses unterirdischen Flusses immer weiter einstürzte. Reste dieser Decke sind in der Schlucht heute noch vorhanden. Der Fluss verlässt die Schlucht über einen großen Wasserfall.
Die heutige Stadt erstreckt sich mit zahlreichen neueren Stadtvierteln und Vororten weit über die umliegenden Hügel.
Constantine is the third-largest city in Algeria after Algiers and Oran. It is the capital of the province of the same name, an industrial city, and a transportation hub. The city has a university, an Islamic college, and ancient and medieval buildings such as the statue of the Roman Emperor Constantine and the Ahmed Bey Palace. The old town is located on a massive plateau 650 m above sea level, accessible only via a narrow ridge from the southwest, but drops steeply to the northwest and is cut off from the opposite plateau of Sidi M'Cid to the north and west by the more than 100 m deep gorge of the Rhumel River. The Rhumel River did not cut into the limestone rock, but rather found a way beneath the rock in prehistoric times. The gorge was formed when the ceiling of this underground river continued to collapse. Remains of this ceiling are still present in the gorge today. The river leaves the gorge via a large waterfall. ``` Today's city extends far over the surrounding hills with numerous newer districts and suburbs.

ENG: After several years we had to visit the Berlin Cathedral again. I couldn't even remember that the ascent took so long. But the ascent was worth it again and I felt a bit like a tourist in my own city.
GER: Nach etlichen Jahren stand mal wieder ein Besuch des Berliner Doms an. Ich konnte mich schon garnicht mehr dran erinnern, dass der Aufstieg so lange dauerte. Aber der Aufstieg hatte sich mal wieder gelohnt und ich hatte mich auch ein wenig wie ein Tourist in der eigenen Stadt gefühlt.
HWW - dieses schöne Haus kann man nur fotografieren, solange noch kein Laub an den Bäumen ist. Sonst ist es fast völlig verdeckt.

I will introduce You the city of Grasse in Southfrance during the next days. Since the 16th century that city is wellknown for the producing of perfumes. There are still some quite important perfumefactories located here. It became famous because of the novel (and the screen adaption) "The perfume" by Patrick Süßkind. I recommend to read this very good book before comming here the first time. It will give you a much closer access to what You find here and You can see more than just the tourist attraction.
In den nächsten Tagen möchte ich hier die Stadt Grasse in Südfrankreich vorstellen. Bereits seit dem 16. Jahrhundert ist die Stadt ein bekannter Ort der Parfümherstellung. Es befinden sich noch immer einige sehr bekannte Parfümhersteller hier. Berühmt wurde Sie durch den Roman (und die Verfilmung) "Das Parfüm" von Patrick Süßkind. Ich empfehle jedem, der zum ersten mal hierher kommt vorher dieses sehr gute Buch zu lesen. Das verschafft einen viel intensiveren Zugang zu dem, was man hier vorfindet und man sieht mehr als nur die Touristenattraktion.
Nach 24:00 Uhr schaltet die Stadt die Gebäudebeleuchtungen aus und auch die Wasserfontäne auf der Alster wird abgeschaltet. Gleiches gilt übrigens auch für die Speicherstadt: Wer also Hamburgs Illuminationen fotografisch erleben will, muss bis Mitternacht damit fertig sein...diese Aufnahme entstand kurz nach 0:00 Uhr... ;o)
After 12 pm, the City turns off the lighting of the buildings and also the water fountain on the Alster is switched off. The same applies also to the Speicherstadt: so who wants to photographically experience Hamburg's illuminations, must finished until 12...this shot was made shortly after midnight... ;o)
