My second attempt at focus stacking, this time using 5 exposures of circa 10 - 15 seconds

River Ice on the edge of the Hudson River. The Hudson is a tidal River, and thus lends itself to such grand fluctuation , The coast Guard mans an Ice cutter daily to keep a channel open , which add to these natural ice stacks! Ice on the River is one of my favorite things to photograph , it is always changing and amazingly beautiful...despite the cold! Thanks for your visit and comment

NS 223 passes the Wabash era searchlights at CP Wentzville with the Erie SD70ACe leading at brisk pace on a chilly winter morning.

Perennial plant - diameter of one blossom ~45 mm, diameter of the green pistil about 6 mm ;-)

another work-through thought for Macro Mondays Stack theme

The iconic green wooden houses of the Zaan region were the fount of inspiration for the designers of the Inntel Hotel (WAM architecten, Delft). The structure is a lively stacking of various examples of these traditional houses, ranging from a notary’s residence to a worker’s cottage. ‘The Blue House’ at the top corner has been inspired by the work Claude Monet painted at Zaandam in 1871.
