A small Praying Mantis checking me out. Photographed in Maryland. Focus stack of 4 images, shot with the camera hand held. Canon 80D, Canon MPE 65mm macro lens, Canon twin macro flash. Aperture f/11, shutter speed 1/250, ISO 400.
I thought that I would try focus stacking for the first time.

Shot at a Handmade brick making place on namakkal highway , Trichy , Tamil Nadu , India.
River Ice on the edge of the Hudson River. The Hudson is a tidal River, and thus lends itself to such grand fluctuation , The coast Guard mans an Ice cutter daily to keep a channel open , which add to these natural ice stacks! Ice on the River is one of my favorite things to photograph , it is always changing and amazingly beautiful...despite the cold! Thanks for your visit and comment

The iconic green wooden houses of the Zaan region were the fount of inspiration for the designers of the Inntel Hotel (WAM architecten, Delft). The structure is a lively stacking of various examples of these traditional houses, ranging from a notary’s residence to a worker’s cottage. ‘The Blue House’ at the top corner has been inspired by the work Claude Monet painted at Zaandam in 1871.
